{"id":203955,"date":"2021-11-08T06:56:20","date_gmt":"2021-11-08T06:56:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/?p=203955"},"modified":"2021-11-09T09:30:08","modified_gmt":"2021-11-09T09:30:08","slug":"ethereum-eth-will-soon-be-available-on-crypto-exchange-bakkt","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/ethereum-eth-will-soon-be-available-on-crypto-exchange-bakkt\/","title":{"rendered":"Ethereum (ETH) will soon be available on crypto exchange Bakkt"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/companies\/bakkt\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Bakkt Holdings, Inc.<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> announced last week that it is soon offering users and partners the ability to buy, sell, and hold <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/coins\/ethereum\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ethereum (ETH)<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, the world\u2019s second-largest cryptocurrency by market cap.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Users can also send Ethereum to family and friends directly through the Bakkt App. With the addition of Ethereum to its existing capabilities with Bitcoin, Bakkt will offer users the ability to access two cryptocurrencies representing more than half of the total market value of all cryptocurrencies.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cBakkt users have already enjoyed the app\u2019s capabilities to leverage bitcoin and we are confident that our addition of Ethereum will be a complement to our growing ecosystem of partners and assets,\u201d the exchange said in a statement.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>Why add Ethereum?<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Bakkt\u2019s addition to Ethereum comes at a time of growing interest and adoption of cryptocurrencies.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In its \u201cU.S. Consumer Crypto Survey,\u201d Bakkt found nearly half of respondents had bought some form of cryptocurrency within the last year, underscoring the growing popularity of cryptocurrency. Many non-adopters also expressed interest in adopting the asset class before 2021 ends.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Now, in addition to bitcoin, partners can integrate with the Bakkt platform to enable their users to buy, sell and send Ethereum.
