IBC essentially performs the role of a bridge, connecting different blockchains and facilitating exchanges between a network of interconnected chains.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\">Since its deployment on Cosmos, IBC has facilitated a significant amount of transactions but began to see a huge rise in interest in the past 30 days.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\">Data aggregator Map of Zones showed that IBC handled over 780,000 transfers from Cosmos in the past 30 days alone. Over half of those transfers\u2014361,237 to be exact\u2014came from <a href=\"https:\/\/osmosis.zone\/\">Osmosis<\/a>, a Cosmos-based AMM that enables users to create liquidity and trade IBC-enabled tokens.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">The number of IBC transfers is exploding! ?<\/p>\n<p>IBC transfers per zone in the last 30 days:<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/osmosiszone?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@osmosiszone<\/a>: 358,856<br \/>&#8211; Cosmos Hub: 219,935<br \/>&#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/akashnet_?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@akashnet_<\/a>: 58,070<br \/>&#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Sentinel_co?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@Sentinel_co<\/a>: 37,162<br \/>&#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/cryptocom?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@cryptocom<\/a>: 28,167 <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/ZepvFxmHV5\">pic.twitter.com\/ZepvFxmHV5<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; DEFI TIMES (@defitimes) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/defitimes\/status\/1437396954804334593?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">September 13, 2021<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\">The Cosmos Hub, which acts as a service provider to the chains that connect to it, saw the second-largest number of transfers in the past month\u2014223,105. Open-source cloud solution AkashNet saw just over 58,000 transfers, while decentralized P2P VPN service Sentinel recorded 37,162 transfers. Global crypto payment network <a href=\"https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/companies\/crypto-com\/\">Crypto.com<\/a> made 28,167 <a href=\"https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/cosmos-cross-chain-transfers-are-coming-to-this-popular-crypto-app\/\">IBC transfers<\/a> in the past 30 days, data has shown.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\">However, the largest number of transfers through IBC differs drastically from the total number of transactions conducted through IBC.
