Binance (@cz_binance) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/cz_binance\/status\/1420056982346555400?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">July 27, 2021<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">He further added that new limits are part of Binance\u2019s overall effort \u201cto adapt to new regulations in order to best serve our users.\u201d In general, stricter know-your-customer (KYC) requirements are usually put in place to combat money laundering and other illicit activities.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Currently, there are three verification levels for personal accounts on Binance: Basic, Intermediate, and Advanced. For the basic level, users just have to fill in their name, nationality, date of birth, and address. With such an account, customers can quickly engage in crypto-to-crypto trading as well as withdraw and deposit digital assets and minuscule amounts of fiat (up to $300 for the account\u2019s lifetime).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Meanwhile, for intermediate and advanced verification users will have to also provide their photos and other documents that confirm their personal data.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2>Regulatory pressure intensifies<\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The latest move comes amid the gradually increasing heat that Binance has been facing from regulators across the globe lately. As <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">CryptoSlate<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> reported, the exchange has recently <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/binance-cuts-aud-eur-gbp-trade-pairs-amidst-regulatory-crackdowns\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">delisted numerous trading pairs<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> that involved the Australian dollar (AUD), the Euro (EUR), and the British pound sterling (GBP).<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">.<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/binance?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@binance<\/a> futures started limiting new users to max 20x leverage last Monday, Jul 19th, 7 days ago.
