{"id":195671,"date":"2021-07-26T15:00:53","date_gmt":"2021-07-26T14:00:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/?p=195671"},"modified":"2021-07-26T14:48:41","modified_gmt":"2021-07-26T13:48:41","slug":"binance-cuts-aud-eur-gbp-trade-pairs-amidst-regulatory-crackdowns","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/binance-cuts-aud-eur-gbp-trade-pairs-amidst-regulatory-crackdowns\/","title":{"rendered":"Binance cuts AUD, EUR, GBP trade pairs amidst regulatory crackdowns"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Crypto exchange <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/binance-burns-nearly-400-million-worth-of-bnb\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Binance<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> announced it is delisting margin trading pairs for three fiat currencies, namely the Australian dollar (AUD), the Euro (EUR), and the British pound sterling (GBP).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Amidst increasing regulatory pressure, the world\u2019s largest crypto trading platform in terms of volume continues curbing its trading services.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><strong>Margin trading\u00a0<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Binance Margin will delist AUD, EUR, and GBP cross and isolated margin pairs, according to the official announcement.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Binance Margin to Delist <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/search?q=%24AUD&src=ctag&ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">$AUD<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/search?q=%24EUR&src=ctag&ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">$EUR<\/a> & <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/search?q=%24GBP&src=ctag&ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">$GBP<\/a> Pairs<a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/gyBP8XzITI\">https:\/\/t.co\/gyBP8XzITI<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Binance (@binance) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/binance\/status\/1419558694795177985?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">July 26, 2021<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As of August 10, the exchange will suspend mentioned fiat trading pairs and, as of August 12, it will switch to automatic settlement and cancel all related pending orders.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Roughly two years ago the exchange introduced crypto margin trading, enabling trading cryptocurrencies through borrowing funds, while allowing traders to access bigger capital to leverage their positions.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">According to the exchange\u2019s warning, this trading method \u201ccarries a substantial risk and the possibility of both significant profits and losses.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cPast gains are not indicative of future returns,\u201d the statement reads, pointing to the possibility that one's margin balance may be liquidated in the event of extreme price movement.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><strong>Recently hampered<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Following the announcement that the exchange would no longer be allowing its users to trade its innovative <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/binance-dumps-stock-tokens-amidst-regulatory-troubles\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">equity tokens<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> offerings, Binance also decided to cramp leverage trading, reducing maximum leverage positions for new users from 125x to 20x on Binance futures.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">.<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/binance?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@binance<\/a> futures started limiting new users to max 20x leverage last Monday, Jul 19th, 7 days ago.
