Barclays UK customers have been blocked from transferring funds to <\/span>Binance<\/span><\/a> as the bank prohibited all credit and debit card payments to the exchange.<\/span><\/p>\n

Ripple\u2019s (<\/span>XRP<\/span><\/a>) CTO <\/span>David Schwartz<\/span><\/a> turned to Twitter, calling for freedom of choice as the repercussions of the recent <\/span>announcement<\/span><\/a> made by the country\u2019s financial watchdog keep unraveling.<\/span><\/p>\n

Pointing out the obvious<\/strong><\/h2>\n

\u201cWe\u2019ve taken the decision to stop payments made by credit\/debit card to Binance until further notice, to help keep your money safe,\u201d stated the London-based bank\u2019s support desk in a tweet.<\/span><\/p>\n

According to Schwartz, who wrote his opinion in a reply, such actions prevent people from governing their own assets and leave no room for freedom of choice.<\/span><\/p>\n
