It is very (sic) challenging time for the BSC communty (sic). We are calling for the actions for all the #dapps,\u201d Binance Smart Chain tweeted today.<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">There are &gt;8 <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/flashloan?src=hash&ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#flashloan<\/a> hacks recently, we believe, an well organized hackers are targeting <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/BSC?src=hash&ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#BSC<\/a> now. It is very challenging time for the BSC communty. We are calling for the actions for all the <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/dapps?src=hash&ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#dapps<\/a>:<\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Binance Smart Chain (@BinanceChain) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/BinanceChain\/status\/1398838655481913346?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">May 30, 2021<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">CryptoSlate<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> reported, projects such as <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/flash-loan-attack-on-defi-platform-belt-finance-sees-6-2-million-gone\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Belt Finance<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/binance-smart-chain-defi-project-burgerswap-hacked-for-7-million\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">BurgerSwap<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/pancake-bunny-token-plummets-by-90-after-40-million-flash-loan-attack\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Pancake Bunny<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, and others have been exploited for millions or even tens of millions of dollars over the past weeks. Most often than not DeFi platforms are falling victim to so-called \u201c<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/coinmarketcap.com\/alexandria\/article\/what-are-flash-loan-attacks\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">flash loan attacks<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<h2>Plan the plan<\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In today\u2019s announcement, BSC outlined a few recommendations for decentralized applications (dapps) on how to mitigate the risks of a hacker attack. First of all, dapp developers should seek help from dedicated security audit companies such as CertiK and PeckShield to \u201cdouble and triple-check\u201d their platforms\u2019 code.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cApply necessary risk control measures to actively monitor any abnomaly (sic) in a real-time manner and pause the protocol if any abnomaly (sic) indeed occurs,\u201d BSC suggested.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For the worst-case scenario, DeFi developers should also \u201cplan a contingency plan\u201d that would be set in motion when a potential hack occurs. Another good practice is to set up bug bounty programs, offering blockchain engineers monetary rewards for discovering critical vulnerabilities in DeFi protocols, BSC concluded.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2>BSC is \u201cforking uncontrollably\u201d<\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Meanwhile, some users began reporting that Binance Smart Chain itself is experiencing technical difficulties over a week ago.<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">If you have any funds on BSC it&#39;s probably best to get them off there asap.<\/p>\n<p>Stay safe everyone. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/XeOxUQGAi2\">https:\/\/t.co\/XeOxUQGAi2<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Anthony Sassano \u039e ?? The network is constantly forking uncontrollably. For every block that is part of the main chain, there are around 5 uncles (forked blocks).
