While the space was initially thought of as a niche asset class that appealed to a narrow pool of investors, cryptocurrencies were soon gaining momentum as a mainstream investment opportunity among both retail and institutional investors<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Based on this year\u2019s survey, the market of potential Bitcoin investors is 32 million strong\u2014compared to 21 million investors just one year ago.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>Familiarity grows<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This year, 62% of investors reported that they are \u201cfamiliar\u201d with Bitcoin, compared to 53% in 2019.
