Chainlink&#39;s data will settle commodities derivatives contracts on the upcoming <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Mettalex?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@Mettalex<\/a> DEX built on the <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/oq9Bud7ofW\">https:\/\/t.co\/oq9Bud7ofW<\/a> Network.<\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Chainlink &#8211; Official Channel (@chainlink) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/chainlink\/status\/1314222824115101697?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">October 8, 2020<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Fetch.ai\u2019s network is based around open-source technology and gives users access to the power of AI on a world-scale secure dataset to carry out complex coordination tasks in the modern economy.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The firm has built a decentralized network to create the infrastructure required for AI-driven autonomous software agents to perform useful economic work on behalf of individuals, businesses, and organizations.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Such an \u201cagent-based system\u201d creates an environment where digital representatives of the economy's moving parts, such as data, hardware, services, people, and infrastructure, can carry out complex coordination tasks within the modern economy, said Fetch.ai.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>Why Chainlink?<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The price reference data integration marks the first step in Fetch.ai\u2019s adoption of Chainlink\u2019s decentralized oracle network to connect Fetch.ai with valuable access to real-world economic, currency, and commodity price data.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Upcoming developments include the enhancement, development, and deployment of real-world applications within mobility, finance, logistics, and IoT ecosystems which rely on a decentralized oracle network to connect the physical world with the digital world.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Humayun Sheikh, CEO of Fetch.ai, said on the integration:<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><b>\u201cBy integrating Chainlink into the Fetch.ai network, we are taking the necessary steps needed to further couple real-world data with autonomous software.\u201d<\/b><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">He added the development would additionally \u201cspeed up the adoption of Fetch.ai autonomous software agents and provide the necessary information for them to communicate with sophistication in real-life scenarios.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>How price feeds help the market<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">At inception, Chainlink\u2019s Price Reference Data will be used to provide price insights into Gold: USD and Silver: USD on Mettalex, a decentralized crypto and commodities derivatives trading platform powered by Fetch.ai.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Chainlink\u2019s trustless, reliable data feed for stock markets, cryptocurrencies, commodities, and gas prices will also permit adjacent markets to those currently in existence to surface.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cBy referencing Chainlink\u2019s price feeds on assets and commodities such as Gold and Silver we will be able to enhance the relationship between traders on Mettalex\u2019s first of its kind commodities exchange,\u201d explained Sheikh in a statement.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Decentralized price feeds are important in building a truly-accessible and verifiable financial system.
