No coin shows this as well as LEND \u2014 the native token of the Aave protocol, formerly known as ETHLend.<\/p>\n<p>Since the start of 2020, the coin has rallied over 5,000 percent, having started this year at under $0.01. LEND currently trades at $0.588 for further context.<\/p>\n<p>Despite this parabolic growth trend that has thrust LEND into the crypto spotlight, some think that the <a href=\"https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/coins\/aave\/\">Aave<\/a> coin is still undervalued.<\/p>\n<p>One financier in the space, in fact, went as far as to say that it may be the most undervalued coin in Ethereum DeFi.<\/p>\n<h2>Could Aave's LEND be the most undervalued DeFi token?<\/h2>\n<p>Spencer Noon, head of DTC Capital, <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/spencernoon\/status\/1305834410428817408\">thinks<\/a> that LEND may be the &#8220;most undervalued DeFi token today&#8221; for the following five fundamental trends:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Outstanding debt, the aggregate value of all outstanding on-chain loans issued by Aave, has hit an all-time high.<\/li>\n<li>The number of unique lenders using Aave a day has hit an all-time high.<\/li>\n<li>$440 million worth of flash loan volume has been processed. A flash loan is an instant loan where users can borrow and return cryptocurrencies within the same block.<\/li>\n<li>Aave has topped the DeFi leaderboards as per DeFi Pulse.<\/li>\n<li>The market capitalization to total value locked in Aave ratio has hit 0.6, which indicates LEND is far undervalued compared to other protocols.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">The fundamentals indicate <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/search?q=%24LEND&src=ctag&ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">$LEND<\/a> might be the most undervalued <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/DeFi?src=hash&ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#DeFi<\/a> token today:<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; ATHs outstanding debt<br \/>&#8211; ATHs unique lenders\/day<br \/>&#8211; $440M flash loan vol<br \/>&#8211; Largest protocol <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/defipulse?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@defipulse<\/a> <br \/>&#8211; 0.6 Mcap\/TVL ratio<\/p>\n<p>All happening organically *without* liquidity mining\/recursive leverage <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/VbQmsPFjDc\">pic.twitter.com\/VbQmsPFjDc<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Spencer Noon (@spencernoon) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/spencernoon\/status\/1305834410428817408?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">September 15, 2020<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>This is not the first time Noon has heavily thrown his weight behind the cryptocurrency and the underlying protocol.<\/p>\n<p>As <a href=\"https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/why-vc-heavyweights-are-throwing-their-weight-behind-ethereums-aave-lend\/\">reported by CryptoSlate previously<\/a>, Noon remarked to his followers that the fact that Aave has accrued so many users and so much locked value without liquidity mining incentives shows how valuable it is:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cOne of the best signals of PMF in #DeFi is if a project can succeed w\/o extra incentives (liquidity mining). @AaveAave doesn\u2019t have LM yet it\u2019s still one of the biggest beneficiaries of new yield farming activity. At $1.26B TVL and only $759M mcap\u2014the fundamentals are so strong.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<h2>A new competitor on the scene?<\/h2>\n<p>LEND's claim to fame as the most undervalued DeFi protocol may soon come under pressure though with the <a href=\"https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/leading-ethereum-defi-protocol-uniswap-just-launched-the-uni-token\/\">launch<\/a> of <a href=\"https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/products\/uniswap\/\">Uniswap's<\/a> UNI token.<\/p>\n<p>UNI is currently a coin with no value except for its ability to govern the Uniswap decentralized exchange.
