A new <\/span>cybersecurity report<\/a><\/strong> said privacy protocol Monero<\/a> was used in most of the cryptojacking attacks traced this year. The cryptocurrency remains one of the most-used among illicit groups due to its strong privacy-features, one that even the US Security and Exchange Commission is trying to break into.<\/span><\/p>\n

Monero emerges on top<\/b><\/h2>\n

Titled \u201cAttacks in the Wild on Container Infrastructure,\u201d the report by Aqua Security claimed to have analyzed over 16,371 attacks on software containers and cloud-native infrastructure over June 2019 and July 2020.<\/span><\/p>\n

Aqua Security said it saw a 250% spike in attacks on its cloud honeypots since the end of 2019 and start of 2020<\/p>\n
