The video <a href=\"https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/4-takeaways-from-the-winklevoss-twins-bitcoin-rendezvous-with-barstools-portnoy\/\">surprisingly had quite a few insights.<\/a><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">I Am Now the Baron of Bitcoin Featuring The Winklevoss Twins <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/tylerwinklevoss?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@tylerwinklevoss<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/winklevoss?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@winklevoss<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/0cGxEGZCs5\">pic.twitter.com\/0cGxEGZCs5<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Dave Portnoy (@stoolpresidente) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/stoolpresidente\/status\/1293993222868369408?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">August 13, 2020<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>What sent Crypto Twitter into an even greater frenzy, though, was when Portnoy revealed that he had purchased Chainlink (LINK) to complement his position in Bitcoin.<\/p>\n<p>He claims to have put $200,000 into BTC and $50,000 into LINK. Both positions are up since Portnoy pulled the trigger.<\/p>\n<p>Even still, Portnoy wants more out of his LINK position.<\/p>\n<h2>Dave Portnoy wants LINK to go to the moon<\/h2>\n<p>On the morning of Aug. 15, Portnoy tweeted &#8220;LINK to the moon.&#8221; The tweet has since garnered thousands of likes, retweets, and replies as Crypto Twitter reacted to one of the most-followed individuals in the financial space shilling one of the most-controversial cryptocurrencies.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\"><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/search?q=%24link&src=ctag&ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">$link<\/a> to the moon.<\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Dave Portnoy (@stoolpresidente) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/stoolpresidente\/status\/1294633085347278849?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">August 15, 2020<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>Chainlink, notably, is up in the past 24 hours. According to <a href=\"https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/coins\/chainlink\/\">CryptoSlate market data<\/a>, the altcoin is up 13 percent in the past hours as it sets a new all-time high price above $19.00. This latest leg higher began after Portnoy's tweet, but it isn't clear if his shilling had a tangible effect on the LINK price.<\/p>\n<p>It's important to point out that Portnoy also wants Bitcoin to go to the moon.<\/p>\n<p>As <a href=\"https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/boost-to-bitcoin-elon-musk-confirms-asteroid-mining-is-a-risk-to-gold-prices\/\">reported by CryptoSlate previously<\/a>, the investor has been calling for the asset to hit $12,000 while also asserting that Bitcoin will &#8220;go to the moon.&#8221; Portnoy even went as far as to release this hilarious clip of astronauts with transposes faces of himself, the Winklevoss Twins, and Elon Musk entering a rocket with Bitcoin slapped on the side.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Hey <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/bitcoin?src=hash&ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#bitcoin<\/a> see you at 12000 tomorrow.     <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/XV8gYFlYIb\">pic.twitter.com\/XV8gYFlYIb<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Dave Portnoy (@stoolpresidente) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/stoolpresidente\/status\/1294121113786744832?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">August 14, 2020<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<h2><strong>Santiment: investors are losing faith in the Chainlink rally<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Not everyone seems to be convinced Chainlink has upside, though. This week, blockchain analytics firm <a href=\"https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/companies\/santiment\/\">Santiment<\/a> noted that there are increasing signs that the LINK rally may soon end.<\/p>\n<p>As <a href=\"https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/chainlink-rallies-to-fresh-highs-of-16-but-data-reveals-mounting-selling-pressure\/\">reported by CryptoSlate previously<\/a>,\u00a0 Santiment found that LINK's MVRV indicator \u2013 which calculates the average profit or loss of certain holder groups \u2013 is reaching a level that has historically marked highs in Chainlink price rallies.<\/p>\n<figure style=\"width: 1024px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/Screen-Shot-2020-08-12-at-10.28.52-AM-1024x990.png\" alt=\"Chainlink\" width=\"1024\" height=\"990\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">Data Source: Santiment<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Santiment also reported that the number of deposits of LINK into exchange addresses has spiked, suggesting there is an increasing number of investors looking to liquidate their coins in anticipation of downside.
