{"id":139366,"date":"2020-07-16T03:49:37","date_gmt":"2020-07-16T02:49:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/?p=139366"},"modified":"2021-02-04T20:06:03","modified_gmt":"2021-02-04T20:06:03","slug":"aave-lend-sets-fresh-highs-against-bitcoin-after-onboarding-major-investment-partners","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/aave-lend-sets-fresh-highs-against-bitcoin-after-onboarding-major-investment-partners\/","title":{"rendered":"Aave (LEND) sets fresh highs against Bitcoin after onboarding major investment partners"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>LEND \u2013 the native token of the popular Ethereum-based DeFi lending protocol Aave \u2013 is seeing a parabolic upswing today upon news of the imminent rollout of multiple new initiatives, as well as the onboarding of several notable investors.<\/p>\n<p>Per an announcement from earlier today, Aave explained that Three Arrows Capital and Framework Ventures purchased a combined total of $3 million in LEND to help fund the protocol\u2019s expansion.<\/p>\n<p>These tokens are now worth $7 million due to LEND\u2019s intense bull run, and today\u2019s news helped push the token to fresh all-time highs against its Bitcoin trading pair.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>LEND price rockets by 1600% in 2020<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Like most other DeFi protocols, <a href=\"https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/coins\/aave\/\">LEND<\/a> has seen notable upside throughout 2020.<\/p>\n<p>Starting the year at around $0.015, the cryptocurrency has since seen parabolic momentum that has sent its price rocketing up to its current price of $0.26 \u2013 marking an over 1600 percent climb.<\/p>\n<p>This makes lend one of the best performing digital assets of the year, and the vast majority of these gains have come about throughout the past two months, as its uptrend turned parabolic in early June.<\/p>\n<p>Although Aave\u2019s LEND token remains down from its early-2017 USD highs of $0.40, it was able to just set fresh all-time highs against its Bitcoin trading pair.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Aave onboards multiple strategic investors to fund new initiatives<\/strong><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Per <a href=\"https:\/\/medium.com\/aave\/strategic-investors-3-arrows-capital-framework-ventures-take-3m-position-in-lend-to-accelerate-916da9dbb1ca\">a recent blog post<\/a> from July 15, Aave noted that Framework Ventures and Three Arrows Capital both participated in a $3 million fundraising round, purchasing LEND tokens at a $0.10 cost basis.<\/p>\n<p>They explain that the two firms will be working with them hand-in-hand to help on multiple fronts, including the introduction of a new token economic model that will incorporate staking, liquidity rewards, and a new smart contract.<\/p>\n<p>The funds will also be actively engaged in the governance of the protocol.<\/p>\n<p>While speaking about the strategic investors, Aave\u2019s CEO and founder \u2013 Stani Kulechov \u2013 explained that the two firms will \u201cbring substantial expertise\u201d to help scale the protocol.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cOur focus has always been innovation and diligent risk management, which has got the attention of Framework Ventures and Three Arrows Capital.
