Users only need KNC to vote and a little ETH to pay for gas costs, and all votes are done on-chain on Ethereum.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">There is no minimum or maximum KNC for staking on Katalyst. Hard lockup periods and penalties are eliminated, and no compulsion for running nodes is required either.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>dApps, pools, and providers to benefit<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Kyber states the ability to set one\u2019s own custom spread and fees per trade is a major benefit for dApps onboarding the platform. This removes the previous fee-sharing program of 30 percent of the 0.25% fee.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/blog.kyber.network\/towards-the-single-liquidity-endpoint-for-defi-important-updates-for-kyber-bridge-reserves-91a95e626b2f\">Bridge reserves<\/a><\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> that connect liquidity from external on-chain sources like <a href=\"https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/products\/uniswap\/\">Uniswap<\/a>, Oasis, or <a href=\"https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/coins\/bancor\/\">Bancor<\/a>, are not charged any network fee, while fees for all other providers are capped at 0.2 percent.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Reserves\/Liquidity providers look forward to a simplified fee system, with no need for holding KNC. The blog adds:<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><b>&#8220;Network fees are automatically collected in every trade, removing a major friction and pain point for reserves that want to integrate with Kyber.&#8221;<\/b><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Providers can earn rebates based on how much trade volume they facilitate for the network.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Lastly, <a href=\"https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/kyber-network-skyrockets-over-200-as-fundamentals-grow-strong\/\">KyberDAO pools<\/a> can run a staking pool and vote on behalf of KNC holders, while charging a fee for their efforts.
