The framework lets developers easily access and interact with \u201cOracles\u201d on Chainlink, allowing the creation of fair Layer-2 applications.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>Play golf with ChainFaces<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/medium.com\/@nonfungibleteam\/announcing-facegolf-the-chainfaces-mini-game-powered-with-chainlink-vrf-f3ea3dc202ad\">Announced<\/a> over the weekend, developers of ChainFaces, a generative art project <\/span><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.chainfaces.co\/\">ChainFaces<\/a><\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> said the first \u201cspin-off minigame\u201d utilizing ChainFace NFTs is now active.<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">NFT devs <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/NateAlex6677?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@natealex6677<\/a> & <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/skylerfly?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@skylerfly<\/a> from the generative art project ChainFaces are using <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/Chainlink?src=hash&ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#Chainlink<\/a> VRF to power the spin-off game FaceGolf. Chainlink VRF will be used in determining the outcome of golf matches, the random creation of new <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/NFTs?src=hash&ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#NFTs<\/a> and more <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/OHCh1NYj2o\">https:\/\/t.co\/OHCh1NYj2o<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Chainlink &#8211; Official Channel (@chainlink) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/chainlink\/status\/1271523774198923265?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">June 12, 2020<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Called FaceGolf!, the minigame uses <\/span><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/blog.chain.link\/verifiable-random-functions-vrf-random-number-generation-rng-feature\/\">Chainlink\u2019s VRF<\/a><\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> to allow ChainFace collectible owners to take part in online golf minigames, with the winners winning certain rewards from a predetermined pool.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A <a href=\"https:\/\/medium.com\/@nonfungibleteam\/announcing-facegolf-the-chainfaces-mini-game-powered-with-chainlink-vrf-f3ea3dc202ad\">blog post<\/a> noted all golf round statistics will be recorded on on-chain metadata, allowing one to build stats and making the experience comparable to conventional online games. All such stats are immutable, courtesy the underlying blockchain.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">ChainFaces founder <\/span><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/natealex6677?lang=en\">Nate Hart<\/a><\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and developer <\/span><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/skylerfly\">Skyler Fly<\/a><\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> said FaceGolf aims to push the boundaries of NFTs. The blog states ChainFaces was among the first such instances to achieve a \u201cfully on-chain status as an NFT.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The blog added:<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><b>\u201cChainFace owners will now be able to use these NFTs against each other in golf matches whose outcomes will rely, in part, on the collectible\u2019s individual stats. New collectibles with their own unique rarity scheme will emerge in the form of Golf Card NFTs.\u201d<\/b><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Based on a chosen NFT\u2019s so-called \u201cGolf Score\u201d and a random input from Chainlink\u2019s VRFs, users can compete in ChainFaces golf games. Randomness, in particular, helps with the creation of new NFTs and golfing crates. Details on the latter are expected closed to launch date, the blog said.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Meanwhile, ChainFaces said the project faced issues while implementing the on-chain randomness function in its earlier launch.
