Bitamp, an easy to use client-side open-source Bitcoin wallet, has recently launched its flagship product, a wallet that can send and receive BTC from anywhere, on any device. BitAmp\u2019s Technology<\/h2>\n

Bitamp is a web-based wallet permitting users to access their Bitcoin without running a full node or downloading any software or apps. The company\u2019s code is open-source and the product is free for everyone. User donations will help fund future development with the product released under an MIT license. Users can access any of their Bitcoin wallets for which they have private keys or seed phrases instantly through the Bitamp website. For example, users can access other wallets previously created on platforms such as Electrum or Mycelium.<\/p>\n

Bitamp is built using the latest technology and security practices available. Users\u2019 seed and\/or private keys are never transmitted, stored, or saved, leaving users in full control of their Bitcoin. No email or personal KYC information is required to create a Bitcoin wallet account. In addition, Bitamp also allows users to access wallets they may have created with seed phrases from companies such as Electrum, Mycelium, Blockchain.com, Trezor, Ledger, etc. directly on the site.<\/p>\n

The Company website points out that custodial wallets and exchanges do not allow users to access their own private keys, putting users\u2019 financial independence in jeopardy, especially if these entities become hacked, dissolved, or insolvent.<\/p>\n

BitAmp\u2019s Future Developments<\/h2>\n

BitAmp\u2019s website<\/a> is available currently in English but the team will approach expansion with a global mindset. The Bitamp team\u2019s belief that Bitcoin does not have borders will motivate the company\u2019s future translation of the website into 11 more languages including German, Spanish, Portuguese, French, Russian, Italian, Korean, Japanese, etc.<\/p>\n

Bitamp\u2019s open-source nature allows any community members to independently verify and comment on the company\u2019s source code on GitHub<\/a>. The company will use community feedback and bug reports to inform future roadmap developments. The Company\u2019s Term of Services states that no matter how future product developments progress, users will have access to rights including accessibility, rectification, restriction, portability, and objection.<\/p>\n
