As of August 2018, Bitmain is said to <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/CobraBitcoin\/status\/1028964114540974081\">have held over one million in BCH<\/a>, as said by a co-owner of bitcoin.org and bitcointalk.org.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">BITMAIN holding 1M+ BCH is a very powerful statement that they have skin in the game and put their money where their mouth is. It\u2019s a good and calculated move, and it\u2019s not wise to underestimate them.<\/p>\n<p>&mdash; C\u00f8bra (@CobraBitcoin) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/CobraBitcoin\/status\/1028964114540974081?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">August 13, 2018<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<h2>What Bitcoin Cash transaction size increase could mean<\/h2>\n<p>This week, Jihan Wu, a co-founder and former CEO of Bitmain, the world's largest cryptocurrency mining manufacturer, <a href=\"https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/mining-giant-bitmain-drives-out-co-founder-micree-zhan-bch-surges\/\">reportedly ousted<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/people\/micree-zhan\/\">Micree Zhan<\/a>, another co-founder of the company.<\/p>\n<p>According to local media and investors like <a href=\"https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/people\/dovey-wan\/\">Dovey Wan<\/a>, founding partner at Primitive Ventures, Micree was forced out of the company in an &#8220;ugly&#8221; way. She said:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;Chinese news reported: according to who\u2019s close to the matter, Micree was outcasted in an ugly way, he may consider dump BCH he owns .. which is 1.6M BCH total. Wan added:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;According to public record, Jihan Wu took over Micree Zhan as the legal representative of Bitmain in China. Under China law, this means he serves as the legal embodiment of the company, which is a crucial role. Bitmain obviously can't sit still while Canaan filed IPO.&#8221;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Others, like the aforementioned co-founder of bitcoin.org and bitcointalk.org, said that the &#8220;reappointment&#8221; of <a href=\"https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/people\/jihan-wu\/\">Jihan Wu<\/a> as the representative of <a href=\"https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/companies\/bitmain\/\">Bitmain<\/a> could be a solid first step towards the company regaining market share that it has lost.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Congratulations to <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/JihanWu?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@JihanWu<\/a> for coming back into his leadership role at BITMAIN.
