The company is also planning to build trusted infrastructure for its open, seamless, global network, which will be used to securely buy, sell, and trade digital assets.<\/p>\n<p>One of Bakkt\u2019s most highly anticipated product offerings is <a href=\"https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/bakkt-confirms-launch-of-physically-settled-bitcoin-futures\/\">physically settled daily futures contracts<\/a> for Bitcoin. The firm is planning to provide these contracts to investors in over 30 different countries.<\/p>\n<h2>Waiting for regulatory approval<\/h2>\n<p>In December 2017, the <a href=\"https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/companies\/cme-group\/\">CME Group<\/a> and Cboe began issuing cash-settled Bitcoin futures contracts. Companies like Bakkt and <a href=\"https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/ledgerx-wins-cftc-approval-crypto-settled-bitcoin-futures\/\">LedgerX<\/a> could potentially allow more bitcoin to enter institutional markets by offering physically settled BTC futures.<\/p>\n<p>Crypto traders will be required to pass know-your-customer (KYC) and anti-money laundering (AML) checks before being allowed to acquire Bitcoin futures contracts. Currently, Bakkt\u2019s management is waiting for regulatory clearance from the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) before launching its crypto futures products.<\/p>\n<h2>Bakkt to list daily and monthly bitcoin futures contracts<\/h2>\n<p>According to Bakkt\u2019s official <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bakkt.com\/\">website<\/a>, the firm\u2019s financial products were developed after obtaining feedback from various stakeholders.
