This, according to a post from a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reddit.com\/r\/CryptoCurrency\/comments\/cd5lvf\/claymore_token_a_deflationary_coin_exit_scammed\/\">Reddit<\/a> user, who revealed that all social media accounts associated with the Claymore token have now been deleted.<\/p>\n<p>As explained by its creators, the Claymore cryptocurrency was as an ERC-20 compliant, peer-to-peer (P2P) \u201ccash token.\u201d The total supply of CLM tokens was capped at 74.9 million, and the cryptocurrency was being actively traded on DDEX, a leading decentralized exchange for <a href=\"https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/news\/ethereum\/\">Ethereum<\/a> tokens.<\/p>\n<p>Claymore\u2019s developers also claimed that the digital currency was created to help prevent financial manipulation and minimize the adverse effects of high volatility. <a href=\"https:\/\/coinmarketcap.com\/currencies\/claymore\/\">Available data<\/a> shows that CLM tokens had been trading at around $0.000338, with the last reported 24-hour trading volume of about $26,205.<\/p>\n<h2>Claymore token listed on exchanges without security audit?<\/h2>\n<p>The Burn Token Twitter account <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/BurnToken\/status\/1150595013635715072\">questioned<\/a> how the Claymore token managed to get listed on DDEX, CoinExchange, and Mercatox without a security audit of the cryptocurrency\u2019s codebase.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">How was @claymoretoken listed on CoinExchange, Mercatox & DDEX without a security audit of their code? <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/218PdJegcE\">pic.twitter.com\/218PdJegcE<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; The Burn Token (@BurnToken) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/BurnToken\/status\/1150595013635715072?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">July 15, 2019<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>Responding to Burn Token\u2019s tweet, a Claymore token holder said he had converted his holdings to fiat currency as <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/crypto_dave5\/status\/1150607210722058240\">he suspected<\/a> that \u201csomething crazy is going on.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, other social media users asked why comments on Claymore token\u2019s Telegram account had been disabled. Twitter user Asad Qayyum warned everyone to stay away from the crypto project:<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">They have started to block people who raising questions in telegram group stay away from this project &#8230; and i am sure now they will start to ban people here on twitter too<\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Asad Qayyum (@iasadqayyum) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/iasadqayyum\/status\/1149543211481751552?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">July 12, 2019<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<h2>Claymore token project displays red flags, making it \u201chigh-risk\u201d<\/h2>\n<p>Another Twitter account, named \u201cdzoelx\u201d, said that the Mercury Currency and Nuke Token\u00a0projects had been trading Claymore tokens after the crypto\u2019s team members allegedly pulled an exit scam.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Doesn&#39;t this look fishy? <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/MeroCurrency?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@merocurrency<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/nuketoken?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@NukeToken<\/a> swapping <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/search?q=%24Claymore&src=ctag&ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">$Claymore<\/a> after their devs exit scammed? Think!<\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Joel (@agboifesinachi) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/agboifesinachi\/status\/1150482853488209920?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">July 14, 2019<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>According to Claymore Token\u2019s official post on the <a href=\"https:\/\/bitcointalk.org\/index.php?topic=5156348.0\">BitcoinTalk forum<\/a>, the cryptocurrency had been launched on June 20, 2019, with an initial supply of 50 million CLM tokens.\u00a0An alert message posted on BitcoinTalk reads:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cWarning: One or more bitcointalk.org users have reported that they believe that the creator of this topic displays some red flags which make them high-risk\u2026 While the bitcointalk.org administration does not verify such claims, you should proceed with extreme caution.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<h2>Fake team members, \u201cstealing\u201d people\u2019s identities<\/h2>\n<p>Bitcointalk forum member, morvillz7z <a href=\"https:\/\/bitcointalk.org\/index.php?topic=5156547.0\">claims <\/a>that the Claymore project had fake team members and accused the crypto\u2019s creators of stealing people\u2019s identities. He also mentioned that the website did not have a link to a whitepaper and the LinkedIn profiles associated with the project were fake.<\/p>\n<p>Notably, a video posted to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=TjOIkWNH-6c\">YouTube<\/a> by MicLabTV (on July 14, 2019) pointed out that the Claymoretoken.com website appears to have been hacked. A message on the website states that it was hacked by \u201cthe #1 Indian Ethereum Pentesting team &#8211; r0p00 CR3W.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The hackers also left a message for John (the CEO of the Claymore token project) that reminded him to change passwords when working on new projects.
