{"id":107017,"date":"2019-06-03T09:08:55","date_gmt":"2019-06-03T16:08:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/?p=107017"},"modified":"2019-06-03T15:17:29","modified_gmt":"2019-06-03T22:17:29","slug":"binance-stablecoin-prepares-issue-own","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/binance-stablecoin-prepares-issue-own\/","title":{"rendered":"Binance Chain welcomes a stablecoin and prepares to issue one of its own"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/companies\/binance\/\">Binance<\/a>, the largest cryptocurrency exchange in the world, prepares to welcome the first <a href=\"https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/cryptos\/stablecoin\/\">stablecoin<\/a> developed on the <a href=\"https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/coins\/binance-coin\/\">Binance<\/a>\u00a0Chain (BNB) blockchain while it has begun testing its own.<\/p>\n<h2>Stablecoins on the Binance Chain<\/h2>\n<p>In a <a href=\"https:\/\/medium.com\/stably-blog\/stably-issues-usds-b-on-binance-chain-33816fd44767\">blog post<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/companies\/stably\/\">Stably<\/a>, a venture-capital backed startup, announced that it will be launching its <a href=\"https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/coins\/stableusd\/\">StableUSD<\/a> (USDS) token on the Binance protocol. Dubbed USDS.B, it will the first stablecoin to launch on Binance Chain\u00a0allowing other projects under the network to establish transparent and liquid on-chain trading pairs.<\/p>\n<p>Stably has chosen the binance chain to develop its new stablecoin because it provides a vast number of benefits including, \u201cimproved security, ease of use, and speed of transaction,\u201d said a representative from the company. These characteristics will allow one-second block confirmation time and several thousand transactions per second.<\/p>\n<p>A sum of 90 billion tokens backed 1:1 with US dollar reserves will be issued, but the entirety of the tokens will be moved into a treasury wallet and the supply will be frozen. Every time there is a freeze or unfreeze of USDS.B, it will be reported under this <a href=\"https:\/\/community.binance.org\/t\/record-of-usds-b-freeze-unfreezes\/3889\">thread<\/a> for transparency.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/people\/changpeng-zhao\/\">Changpeng Zhao<\/a>, the founder and CEO of Binance, shared the news while highlighting that the stablecoin was not operated by his firm.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Boom!
