The "peaceful world" crypto token project was a spoof of Ukraine's much-anticipated (and now-canceled) airdrop.

  • Transactions on blockchain explorer Etherscan that appear as if the official Ukraine Donation Wallet is airdropping tokens to wallet addresses seem to be controlled by an outside party.
  • "What happened is they made the token transferrable by anyone without approvals," explained Twitter user @razoreth. "All you need to do is send all the tokens to a wallet and use their airdrop function to send tokens out from that wallet."
  • Etherscan has since flagged the token address as spam. "This token is reported to have been used for misleading people into believing it was sent from a well-known address and may be spam or phishing. Please treat it with caution," a notice on the site reads.
  • After the initial publication of this article, Ukraine's minister of digital transformation announced the planned airdrop was being canceled.
