Sabi ng PayPal, Sinisiyasat ang Venmo sa US ng Consumer Regulator

Sinabi ng higanteng Fintech na PayPal (PYPL) noong Biyernes na ang Venmo app nito ay iniimbestigahan ng isang U.S. consumer watchdog.
- Nakatanggap ang kumpanya ng civil investigative demand (CID) mula sa Consumer Financial Protection Bureau sa di-umano'y "hindi awtorisadong paglilipat ng pondo at mga proseso ng pangongolekta" ng Venmo, ulat ng Reuters noong Biyernes.
- Ang CID ay isang legal Request para sa mga rekord at dokumento o iba pang impormasyon na nauugnay sa isang imbestigasyon ng ahensya.
- Nagbibigay ang Venmo ng platform ng pagbabayad ng peer-to-peer na nakabatay sa mobile na may mga social na feature.
- Sinabi ng PayPal noong Hunyo na gagawin ito payagan ang mga user upang bumili, humawak at magbenta ng mga cryptocurrencies sa Venmo sa huling bahagi ng taong ito.
