{"id":7730,"date":"2022-08-04T13:00:00","date_gmt":"2022-08-04T13:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ci02a7d91f70002621"},"modified":"2022-08-04T13:00:00","modified_gmt":"2022-08-04T13:00:00","slug":"zebedee-leverages-bitcoin-lightning-network-for-cross-platform-payments","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/bitcoinmagazine.com\/business\/zebedee-leverages-bitcoin-lightning-network-for-cross-platform-payments","title":{"rendered":"ZEBEDEE Launches Instant Cross-Platform Money Transfers Using Bitcoin\u2019s Lightning Network"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"bsf_rt_marker\"><\/div><ul>\n<li>ZEBEDEE is launching a seamless integration allowing any participating business or app to transfer money across platforms.<\/li>\n<li>The \u201cLog in with ZBD\u201d feature also allows applications to pay its users instantly.<\/li>\n<li>The new integration leverages Bitcoin\u2019s Lightning Network enabling instant payments.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/zebedee.io\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ZEBEDEE<\/a>, a fintech company focused on bitcoin gaming, now allows any app or game to transfer money to and from its users through Bitcoin\u2019s Lightning Network, according to a press release sent to Bitcoin Magazine. <\/p>\n<p>Fresh off a <a href=\"https:\/\/bitcoinmagazine.com\/business\/zebedee-raises-35-million-for-bitcoin-gaming\">$35 million fundraiser<\/a> featuring the legendary gaming developer Square Enix, ZEBEDEE has already made headlines for broadening its bitcoin gaming rewards to classic games like <a href=\"https:\/\/bitcoinmagazine.com\/business\/zebedee-viker-launch-bitcoin-rewards-for-classic-games\">Sudoku and Solitaire.<\/a> Therefore, a pivot away from typical bitcoin gaming rewards seems a bit out of character for the company at a glance. However, ZEBEDEE\u2019s leveraging of the Bitcoin Lightning Network to enable any and all businesses to allow the transference of value instantly is far from a deviation of its business model. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe most powerful innovations often seem simple on the surface and feel familiar to users, and that\u2019s where the beauty of Log in with ZBD lies,\u201d said Andre Neves, co-founder and CTO of ZEBEDEE. \u201cBecause we\u2019re using a widely adopted standard, developers will find it extremely easy to integrate and users will already be familiar with the flows involved.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>The new feature is called \u201cLog In With ZBD\u201d and features the widely used OAuth 2.0 standard enabling different applications to authorize each other through a communication protocol, which allows apps to seamlessly speak to each other and transfer information or funds. A user would just sign in with their ZBD account and agree to the necessary permissions and then any app leveraging the integration will be able to communicate without the need of clunky authorization screens or QR codes. <\/p>\n<p>Additionally, the integration also allows the app to pay its users, creating the circular economy ZEBEDEE is known for.
