{"id":5028,"date":"2023-03-01T20:46:15","date_gmt":"2023-03-01T20:46:15","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ci02b9274050002530"},"modified":"2023-03-01T20:46:15","modified_gmt":"2023-03-01T20:46:15","slug":"jack-dorseys-block-ui-teaser-and-partners-for-wallet","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/bitcoinmagazine.com\/business\/jack-dorseys-block-ui-teaser-and-partners-for-wallet","title":{"rendered":"Jack Dorsey\u2019s Block Releases UI Teaser, Seeks Partners For Highly Anticipated Self-Custody Bitcoin Wallet"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"bsf_rt_marker\"><\/div><p>Jack Dorsey\u2019s Block has updated the Bitcoin community on the development of its self-custody Bitcoin wallet.<\/p>\n<p>The goal, according to a blog <a href=\"https:\/\/wallet.build\/helping-customers-move-between-fiat-and-bitcoin-how-well-build-with-partners-to-bring-more-people-to-self-custody\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">post<\/a>, is to build \u201ca self-custody bitcoin wallet designed to empower the next 100 million people to truly own and manage their money with bitcoin.\u201d First introduced in 2022, the <a href=\"https:\/\/wallet.build\/product-principles\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">product principles<\/a> indicate Block\u2019s desire to create a wallet that allows users to truly own and manage bitcoin \u201cin a way that makes self-custody more accessible than ever before.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Partners will seemingly be a major part of building the self-custody wallet. \u201cThrough global and local partnerships with exchanges and on\/off ramp partners, we provide customers with ways to access a smooth, transparent buy and sell experience,\u201d the blog post reads, \u201cultimately helping them navigate between fiat and bitcoin financial systems, wherever they are in the world.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The post described the criteria for Block to partner with on and offramp firms highlighting global and regional reach and depth, product experience, price transparency, customer onboarding and trust and transparency. <\/p>\n<p>Customer experience is also reiterated.
