{"id":48495,"date":"2025-10-28T10:44:17","date_gmt":"2025-10-28T15:44:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/bitcoinmagazine.com\/?p=48495"},"modified":"2025-10-28T10:44:23","modified_gmt":"2025-10-28T15:44:23","slug":"btc-miner-terawulf-stock-jumps","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/bitcoinmagazine.com\/bitcoin-mining\/btc-miner-terawulf-stock-jumps","title":{"rendered":"Bitcoin Miner TeraWulf (WULF) Stock Jumps 25% on Positive AI News\u00a0"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"bsf_rt_marker\"><\/div>\n<p>Shares of TeraWulf (NASDAQ: WULF) jumped more than 25% Tuesday morning after the company announced a pivot to AI.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>TeraWulf, one of the largest publicly traded bitcoin miners, is accelerating its shift into <a href=\"https:\/\/bitcoinmagazine.com\/culture\/bitcoin-and-artificial-intelligence-frees-your-time\">artificial intelligence<\/a> infrastructure through a new joint venture with AI cloud provider Fluidstack.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The companies plan to build 168 megawatts (MW) of high-performance computing capacity at TeraWulf\u2019s Abernathy, Texas, campus under a 25-year hosting agreement valued at roughly $9.5 billion in contracted revenue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>TeraWulf will hold a 51% stake in the venture and retain exclusive rights to participate in Fluidstack\u2019s next ~168 MW project on similar terms. Construction is expected to be completed in the second half of 2026, with the total project costing $8 million to $10 million per MW, the company <a href=\"https:\/\/investors.terawulf.com\/news-events\/press-releases\/detail\/121\/terawulf-expands-strategic-partnership-with-fluidstack\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">announced<\/a>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To support project financing, Google has committed to back about $1.3 billion of Fluidstack\u2019s long-term lease obligations, improving the credit profile of the joint venture\u2019s debt structure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>No equity issuance or warrants were included as part of the deal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The announcement expands <a href=\"https:\/\/bitcoinmagazine.com\/tags\/terawulf\">TeraWulf\u2019s<\/a> contracted high-performance compute pipeline to more than 510 MW and supports an updated growth strategy targeting 250 MW to 500 MW of new contracted capacity annually.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The company, best known for its bitcoin mining operations, has increasingly leaned into AI-focused data center development amid a market shift toward GPU-based compute demand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cSecuring more than 510 MW of critical IT load in the past 10 months provides a direct proof-point of our growth strategy,\u201d CEO Paul Prager said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Alongside the expansion, TeraWulf reported preliminary third-quarter revenue of $48 million to $52 million \u2014 up roughly 84% from a year earlier \u2014 and adjusted EBITDA of $15 million to $19 million.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Bitcoin miners are pivoting to AI<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Leading Bitcoin mining companies are switching over to AI on top of their mining efforts.
