Accenture joins the Alliance as the lead framework architect responsible for developing a \u201cproduction-grade platform\u201d to create and implement blockchain use cases.<\/p>\n<p>The Institutes RiskBlock Alliance is <a href=\"https:\/\/bitcoinmagazine.com\/articles\/nationwide-insurance-rolls-out-proof-insurance-riskblock-blockchain\">a consortium of industry experts<\/a> who seek to advance \u201cinsurance-specific use cases via <a href=\"https:\/\/web.theinstitutes.org\/riskstream-collaborative\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">RiskBlock\u2019s<\/a> interoperable blockchain architecture.\u201d RiskBlock was created by The Institutes, a leading and trusted insurance knowledge group committed to developing the risk management and insurance industry.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.accenture.com\/us-en\/company\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Accenture<\/a> is a professional services firm that helps clients improve performance and create sustainable value, while driving innovation that enhances the way the \u201cworld works and lives.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>As lead framework architect, Accenture will be responsible for conceptualizing, designing and developing the platform that will be used by the consortium to support and execute its industry-driven use cases. They will also provide support on an ongoing basis after development for maintaining the platform as the needs change and technologies evolve.<\/p>\n<p>Accenture\u2019s global insurance lead, Michael Costonis, told<em><\/em><em>Bitcoin Magazine<\/em>, \u201cAccenture is building out the blockchain framework to allow for ease of use by RiskBlock\u2019s membership and eventually for other stakeholders within the insurance ecosystem.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He said, \u201cAs insurers increasingly rely on partnerships to create business efficiencies and improve customer experiences, blockchain technology will be critical to holding partners accountable without first needing to establish trust.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>RiskBlock plans to serve industry policyholders and save costs by \u201cstreamlining payments, reducing fraud and improving the accuracy of customer data\u201d using applications and tools developed via its interoperable blockchain architecture. <\/p>\n<p>Christopher G.
