These members include Bitcoin wallet app <a href=\"https:\/\/coinos.io\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Coinos<\/a>, institutional digital asset custody provider <a href=\"https:\/\/www.komainu.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Komainu<\/a>, privacy infrastructure developer <a href=\"https:\/\/nymtech.net\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Nym Technologies<\/a>, Liquid swap infrastructure provider <a href=\"https:\/\/sideswap.io\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">SideSwap<\/a>, Bitcoin-native financial services provider <a href=\"https:\/\/vulpem.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Vulpem Ventures<\/a> and fintech-focused broker-dealer <a href=\"http:\/\/watchdogcapital.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Watchdog Capital<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWith these new additions, there are now a total of 59 members in the Liquid Federation, including cryptocurrency exchanges, trading desks, infrastructure providers, gaming companies and digital securities services,\u201d according to a press release shared with <em>Bitcoin Magazine<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>As a Bitcoin sidechain, Liquid provides a separate blockchain with tokens that are \u201cpegged\u201d to bitcoin \u2014 1 L-BTC (as Liquid\u2019s tokens are known) can be exchanged for 1 BTC. With different protocol rules, sidechains can offer more flexibility and scalability than Bitcoin\u2019s blockchain can. Liquid operates under a \u201cfederated\u201d model, with a federation of approved members overseeing the network.<\/p>\n<p>According to the release, each of the new member projects will be providing or have already provided Liquid integrations that help users manage their assets:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u201cCoinos is a web wallet offering powerful interoperability across Bitcoin, the Lightning Network and the Liquid Network.\u201d<\/li>\n<li>\u201cKomainu plans to offer custodial services to assets issued on the Liquid Network.\u201d<\/li>\n<li>\u201cNym mix node operators currently receive a confidential asset on Liquid, NYMPH, as the reputation score of their mix node. NYMPH is a valueless testnet token that keeps track of how long a node has been mixing traffic for testing purposes.\u201d<\/li>\n<li>\u201cSideSwap is a tool that helps users perform Liquid peg-ins and peg-outs and atomically swap assets on the Liquid sidechain.\u201d<\/li>\n<li>\u201cVulpem is the developer of Marina, the world\u2019s first wallet browser extension that enables a plug-and-play gateway into the Liquid Network, as well as the Liquid-based tools <a href=\"https:\/\/liquid.taxi\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Liquid.Taxi<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/liquid.coach\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Liquid.Coach<\/a>.
