{"id":16918,"date":"2021-04-20T17:31:07","date_gmt":"2021-04-20T17:31:07","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ci02811b3470002496"},"modified":"2021-04-20T17:31:07","modified_gmt":"2021-04-20T17:31:07","slug":"dmg-acquires-3600-bitcoin-miners","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/bitcoinmagazine.com\/business\/dmg-acquires-3600-bitcoin-miners","title":{"rendered":"Canada\u2019s DMG Blockchain Acquires 3,600 Bitcoin Mining ASICs"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"bsf_rt_marker\"><\/div><p>Per a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.globenewswire.com\/news-release\/2021\/04\/19\/2212381\/0\/en\/DMG-Blockchain-Solutions-Purchases-3-600-Additional-ASIC-Miners.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">press release<\/a>, Canada-based DMG Blockchain Solutions Inc. has announced the purchase of 3,600 bitcoin ASIC miners which will help to increase the company\u2019s total bitcoin mining hash rate capacity to over 500 peta hashes per second.<\/p>\n<p>According to the announcement, the new purchase of the miners is in line with the company\u2019s ongoing goal of increasing its bitcoin mining capacity.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDMG is regularly evaluating and negotiating with leading Bitcoin mining equipment manufacturers for further purchase orders in accordance with its immersion retrofitting schedule, which facilitates additional purchases, as appropriate, to continue to meet the company\u2019s 2021 hash rate targets,\u201d according to the release. \u201cDelivery of these miners is expected to begin in August 2021 and continue for the next 12 months.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>China\u2019s dominance in Bitcoin mining is being cut down by the growth of more mining firms in North America and other parts of the world. As <em>Bitcoin Magazine <\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/bitcoinmagazine.com\/business\/the-sun-never-sets-on-bitcoin-mining-decentralization-continues-as-china-flounders\">reported<\/a>, \u201cBitcoin mining will become a strategic investment sector for many nation states.
