{"id":16905,"date":"2021-04-21T16:32:37","date_gmt":"2021-04-21T16:32:37","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ci028130bd3000276c"},"modified":"2021-04-21T16:32:37","modified_gmt":"2021-04-21T16:32:37","slug":"first-foundation-invests-in-nydig","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/bitcoinmagazine.com\/business\/first-foundation-invests-in-nydig","title":{"rendered":"First Foundation Partners With NYDIG To Provide Bitcoin Access To Clients"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"bsf_rt_marker\"><\/div><p>In a new partnership, regional bank and financial services company First Foundation <a href=\"https:\/\/www.businesswire.com\/news\/home\/20210420005373\/en\/First-Foundation-Inc.-Announces-Strategic-Investment-in-Institutional-Bitcoin-Provider-NYDIG\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">announced a strategic investment<\/a> in institutional bitcoin solutions provider NYDIG with the goal of providing its clients access to BTC.<\/p>\n<p>The specific terms of the partnership were not disclosed.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe two companies &#8230; announced a strategic partnership that will allow First Foundation and NYDIG to collaborate on connecting the infrastructure and technologies necessary to provide First Foundation clients with efficient and secure access to Bitcoin-related financial products and services within the traditional banking network,\u201d per the press release.<\/p>\n<p>Scott F. Kavanaugh, CEO of First Foundation, highlighted that the company believes \u201cdigital assets are an important part of the future landscape of financial services,\u201d according to the release. Kavanaugh further added that the \u201cannouncement marks an important step towards establishing ourselves as one of the first Bitcoin-friendly regional banks in the country.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Bitcoin integration with First Foundation\u2019s existing banking environment will be performed by the company\u2019s core processing provider Fiserv, per the release.
