{"id":16444,"date":"2021-05-18T17:56:45","date_gmt":"2021-05-18T17:56:45","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ci02836acc40002458"},"modified":"2021-05-18T17:56:45","modified_gmt":"2021-05-18T17:56:45","slug":"citcon-adds-bitcoin-payments-for-retailers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/bitcoinmagazine.com\/business\/citcon-adds-bitcoin-payments-for-retailers","title":{"rendered":"Citcon And Flexa Bring Bitcoin Payments To Global Retailer Network"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"bsf_rt_marker\"><\/div><p>Mobile payment infrastructure company Citcon has <a href=\"https:\/\/www.businesswire.com\/news\/home\/20210518005292\/en\/Citcon-Partners-With-Flexa-to-Bring-Digital-Currency-Payments-to-Merchants-Worldwide\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">announced<\/a> a partnership with cryptocurrency payment network Flexa to enable bitcoin as a payment option for more retailers around the world.<\/p>\n<p>Any of the 6,000 global brands connected to Citcon can now opt in to accept bitcoin through Flexa, as well as other cryptocurrencies such as ether and litecoin. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt empowers consumers to use digital currency payments with virtually no overhead, at the lowers cost, and while enabling merchants to receive settlement in U.S. dollars or the digital currency of their choice,\u201d per the announcement.<\/p>\n<p>Citcon\u2019s mobile payment offerings have been leveraged by large brands like L\u2019Or\u00e9al, Nordstrom, MGM Resorts and more, so the ability for customers of these brands to pay with BTC could serve as a significant adoption rail. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are excited to expand our crypto capabilities by partnering with Flexa,\u201d Citcon founder and CEO Chuck Huan said in the announcement. \u201cEnabling digital currencies to make purchases at businesses around the world helps to push forward the development of the future of payments.
