Job Summary
We are looking for a Principal Software Development Engineer to our Zero Trust Exchange team. Reporting to the Sr Manager of Software Engineering, you'll be responsible for:
šDriving end-to-end architecture and development of long-running, lightweight agent-like, desktop applications for Windows or Mac, and optionally Linux platforms, with a focus on secure communication with Zscaler's cloud infrastructure šOwning and provide technical leadership in the design, implementation, and maintenance of operating system (OS)-specific integrations and actions. šCollaborating with cross-functional teams to define, design, and release new application features
What We're Looking for (Minimum Qualifications)
š12+ years of professional software development experience, including 5+ years of experience designing and building desktop applications for Windows Or Mac (Linux experience a plus) šStrong expertise in Rust, C, or C++, particularly in the development of desktop agents or services šDemonstrable understanding of OS-specific APIs, system-level programming concepts, and related development frameworks šExtensive experience with HTTP, REST, gRPC, or other communication protocols šDeep understanding of secure communication mechanisms between desktop applications and cloud services
