Job Summary
You will:
📍Be responsible for all accounting functions and financial reporting Own the month end close process ensuring it’s done timely, efficiently, and accurately (income statement, balance sheet, cash flow) 📍Own the forecast/financial model 📍Continuously improve and implement internal controls over financial transactions and financial reporting to ensure financial integrity 📍Provide insights and analysis to leadership team on financial performance and health of the business 📍Manage external vendors who support with bookkeeping 📍Manage and coordinate the preparation of tax filings 📍Ensure compliance with local regulations and international accounting standards (IFRS, GAAP)
You are:
📍5+ years of overall accounting experience in a senior position 📍Proven working experience as a Financial Controller or Assistant Controller 📍CA and/or CPA designation and Bachelors Degree in Accounting and/or Business Administration 📍Exceptionally strong attention to detail and highly analytical 📍Deeply experienced with the nuances of crypto-focused accounting 📍Based in Toronto, Canada 📍Excited about web3/crypto
