Quite a few things are going right for Solana [SOL] at the moment. Will these changes turn into a move higher for the token?<\/span><\/p>\n

Solana proposal could cut 18.9M SOL from future issuance<\/h2>\n

The network\u2019s double disinflation proposal<\/a> has already reached quorum. Participation was at 45.24%<\/strong>, and roughly 30%<\/strong> voted in favour of it.<\/p>\n

If it passes, Solana\u2019s disinflation rate would rise from about 15% to 30%<\/strong>. This would essentially slow the pace at which new SOL enters circulation.<\/p>\n

Over six years, the change could reduce issuance by around 18.9 million SOL. That worth about $1.47 billion<\/strong> at current estimates.<\/p>\n

Does this increase SOL’s<\/a> value instantly? Perhaps, yes. But it does more for the supply picture. If demand stays strong while new issuance slows, there could be interesting implications for price.<\/p>\n

Solana overtakes Base in agentic transactions<\/h2>\n

For the first time, Solana has moved ahead of Base in agentic payment transactions. Per data from Token Terminal, the network processed more than 1.5 million agentic transactions in a single day!<\/p>\n

That’s a new all time high.<\/p>\n

In the past two weeks, Solana\u2019s share of these transactions rose so quickly, while Base\u2019s dropped back.<\/p>\n

Agentic payments have to do with automated, machine-driven transactions. The scope of this space is expected to grow in time.<\/p>\n

This makes the case for SOL very interesting.<\/p>\n

In addition, Charles Schwab announced<\/a> plans to add SOL trading to Schwab Crypto in the coming months. The service already supports Bitcoin [BTC]<\/a> and Ethereum [ETH]<\/a>, so Solana\u2019s inclusion puts it alongside the biggest assets on the platform.<\/p>\n

SOL rallies past $107, but…<\/h2>\n

SOL<\/a> has gone up from the low-$70s<\/strong> of early August to the $107<\/strong> of press time; buyers were in control. The DMI also makes the bullish trend clear.<\/p>\n

There is one thing to watch, though. SOL\u2019s RSI was around 85<\/strong>, which is way above overbought territory. The rally may not end tomorrow, but the move has been pushed to its limits.<\/p>\n

A slowdown would not be surprising.<\/p>\n
