Since inflation, taxes, fees, restrictions, and confiscation produce what he refers to as &#8220;monetary entropy,&#8221; good money should maintain its value over time and be able to travel across borders.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Then he contrasts fiat money with gold. Although gold is durable, difficult to make artificially, and scarce, its physical characteristics make it challenging to move and store. While digital payments make fiat money easier to transfer, governments and central banks have the power to alter monetary policy, freeze accounts, prevent transfers, or lower purchasing power through inflation.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><strong>Saylor vouches for Bitcoin despite volatility<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Saylor argues that <a href=\"https:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/predictions\/bitcoin-price-prediction\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Bitcoin<\/a> combines the strengths of gold and fiat while reducing their weaknesses. It is digital, making it easier to store and transfer than gold, while its supply is governed by a public protocol rather than a government or central bank.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">He <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/saylor\/status\/2088600395257934028\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">said<\/a>,\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Bitcoin is digital gold, but it is more useful to understand it as digital monetary energy.<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Therefore, Saylor&#8217;s main contention goes beyond the mere prediction that the price of Bitcoin will increase.\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Hence, he ended it best when he said,\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Bitcoin is the engineering solution to the problem of money.<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<h2><strong>Is this in contradiction to BTC&#8217;s price?<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It\u2019s important to note that Saylor&#8217;s argument is based on long-term scarcity rather than the assertion that Bitcoin is stable at the moment. For context, Bitcoin is about 50% below its 2025 all-time high of $126,080, as it was around $63,000 at press time.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Saylor\u2019s argument centers on whether Bitcoin can preserve wealth over decades better than money with an expandable supply. Despite short\u2011term volatility, BTC\u2019s fixed maximum supply of 21 million underpins this long\u2011term scarcity thesis.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Needless to say, the ability of Bitcoin to maintain purchasing power over a 100-year period has not yet been tested, as it was only introduced in 2009. Therefore, the $63,000 price emphasizes the gap between Saylor&#8217;s long-term monetary thesis and short-term price stability.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This coincided with Saylor&#8217;s firm, Strategy, changing its &#8216;never sell Bitcoin&#8217; strategy to now selling off 6916 BTC alone in 2026. In fact, recently, <a href=\"https:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/michael-saylor-slams-bip-110-nobody-controls-bitcoin-the-network-has-spoken\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Saylor also criticized<\/a> the whole concept of BIP-110.
