There was a time when ethics and crypto rarely crossed paths.<\/span><\/p>\n

The recent amendment to the CLARITY Act clearly shows just how much the industry has evolved. <\/span><\/p>\n

As AMBCrypto previously explained<\/a>, the new ethics provision introduces stricter rules for high-profile public officials, limiting their ability to own or benefit from certain crypto assets. That makes it more than a routine amendment. Instead, it puts crypto ownership itself under the spotlight.<\/span><\/p>\n

One project already reflecting this shift is WLFI crypto, which is linked to the U.S. President Donald Trump\u2019s family. <\/span><\/p>\n

Since the announcement, WLFI\u2019s [World Liberty Financial] technical and on-chain setup has started to weaken, showing how closely the market now ties \u201cethics\u201d to who owns a crypto asset. That has put the Trump family directly in focus.<\/span><\/p>\n

From a technical standpoint, WLFI reacted almost immediately. <\/span><\/p>\n

As the chart above highlights, the token dropped over 5%, with its lowest wick touching $0.0513. In just one session, the sell-off dragged WLFI back to price levels last seen in early May, highlighting the market\u2019s cautious reaction to the ownership narrative.<\/span><\/p>\n

Notably, the same story played out on-chain. <\/span><\/p>\n

Deep Blue Alpha tracked<\/a> 163 WLFI whale wallets across 1,224 trades over the last 30 days, with $12.72 million in inflows versus $13.25 million in outflows, leaving a net outflow of $531.7k, and a 49% buy ratio. Sentiment deteriorated even further over the last 24 hours, with net outflows reaching $351k on just a 22% buy ratio. <\/span><\/p>\n

In essence, whales shifted aggressively toward selling, suggesting large holders were quick to de-risk.<\/span><\/p>\n

Given WLFI\u2019s direct ties to the Trump family, it wasn\u2019t surprising to see the market connect the sell-off to the ethics provision in the CLARITY Act. So, while the amendment increases the odds of the CLARITY Act passing, World Liberty Financial’s [WLFI]<\/a> reaction suggests traders are pricing in a different risk.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

WLFI\u2019s price action diverges from the market\u2019s CLARITY Act optimism<\/b><\/h2>\n

President Trump\u2019s latest financial disclosures have once again put WLFI in the spotlight.<\/span><\/p>\n

As AMBCrypto previously reported<\/a>, Trump\u2019s crypto ventures generated an estimated $1.4 billion in 2025, with WLFI contributing a significant share of the Trump family\u2019s crypto-related income. <\/span><\/p>\n

That makes WLFI\u2019s breakdown especially relevant, as it suggests the Trump family is already pricing in the implications of the new ethics provision. Even so, the market hasn\u2019t fully bought into the amendment as a bullish catalyst.<\/span><\/p>\n

As the chart below shows, the market now puts just a 40% chance of the CLARITY Act being signed into law in 2026, down from nearly 50% earlier this week. <\/span><\/p>\n

Despite the revised draft addressing the ethics provision, traders continue to price in uncertainty around the bill’s path forward.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

As mentioned earlier, the ethics provision puts the Trump family\u2019s crypto ownership under scrutiny. <\/span><\/p>\n

This comes after Trump\u2019s crypto ventures generated $1.4 billion in 2025. <\/span><\/p>\n

However, the lack of bullish momentum around the CLARITY Act suggests the market may not view WLFI\u2019s sell-off as a purely bullish signal.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
