Schumer, the minority leader, the group stated:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A clear federal framework strengthens U.S. national security by bringing more activity into regulated channels, improving visibility for law enforcement, and giving investigators and prosecutors stronger tools to combat financial crime.<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<figure id=\"attachment_604765\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-604765\" style=\"width: 644px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/Screenshot-2026-06-03-105357.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-604765\" src=\"https:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/Screenshot-2026-06-03-105357.png\" alt=\"Clarity Act\" width=\"644\" height=\"434\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/Screenshot-2026-06-03-105357.png 644w, https:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/Screenshot-2026-06-03-105357-300x202.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 644px) 100vw, 644px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-604765\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Source: Blockchain Association<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The letter highlighted some of the provisions that could improve law enforcement efforts, including the expansion of the Bank Secrecy Act and sanctions compliance to crypto exchanges and platforms.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">According to them, the CLARITY Act does not limit prosecutors&#8217; ability to pursue crypto fraud, adding that,\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8216;These (CLARITY Act provisions) are not deregulatory measures. They are enhanced enforcement tools designed to improve visibility, coordination, compliance, and accountability across digital asset markets.&#8217;<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<h2>White House backs CLARITY Act as &#8216;pro-law enforcement&#8217;<\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The move came after Senator Elizabeth Warren\u2019s <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/clarity-act-clears-senate-markup-in-15-9-vote-as-ethics-fights-persist\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">opposition<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> to the bill last month.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">According to Warren, there was a need to \u201ccrack down on crypto laundering,\u201d especially on sanctioned entities. She cited crypto mixer Tornado Cash and proposed amendments to address the same.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It was not yet clear whether the current state of the CLARITY Act fully addressed her concerns. That said, White House chief crypto advisor Patrick Witt <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/patrickjwitt\/status\/2061993184905855318\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">hailed<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> the bill as \u2018pro-law enforcement.\u2019<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The CLARITY Act is the most pro-law enforcement crypto bill ever considered by Congress. Fact.<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The bill cleared the Senate Committee markup last month and is expected to hit the final Senate floor vote soon. Before that, it should be merged with the Senate Agriculture Committee version that targets the CFTC\u2019s mandate for the crypto market.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As of writing, a Senate floor vote date has not been scheduled for the bill.
