With the approval of CIP-0114, the network is rolling out the Digital Asset Treasury (DAT) Super Validator Program\u2014a model designed to bring in institutional capital.<\/p>\n<p>At its core, the idea is simple. Publicly traded companies can now act as Digital Asset Treasuries, accumulating Canton Coin [CC] as a primary reserve asset.<\/p>\n<p>But entry is not open-ended. According to the <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/CantonFdn\/status\/2047566796224622675\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">network announcement<\/a>, there is a $100 million AUM minimum. Every $50 million in CC earns one Super Validator (SV) weight, capped at 20. That means the deeper the accumulation, the stronger the governance voice.<\/p>\n<h2>But the real mechanism sits in the fine print.<\/h2>\n<p>Rewards are locked. They are escrowed and released quarterly over a year\u2014and only if those holdings remain intact. If a treasury reduces its position below the recorded level, both its weight and reward flow take a hit.<\/p>\n<p>In simple terms, it&#8217;s a system that quietly removes the usual \u201cfarm and exit\u201d behavior and replaces it with something closer to balance sheet conviction.<\/p>\n<h2>The derivatives market reacts<\/h2>\n<p>Interestingly, the market did not take long to respond.
