European regulators have been pushing for stronger oversight in crypto, as noted earlier in the AMBCrypto <a href=\"https:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/not-a-good-signal-inside-eus-call-for-stricter-crypto-oversight\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">report<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>The crypto community disagrees with BoE<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>In the meantime, the crypto community called out the Bank of England (BoE) after it proposed a cap on stablecoin ownership.<\/p>\n<p>BoE suggested a cap of \u00a310,000 to \u00a320,000 per user, claiming that stablecoins can take as long as 24 hours to process transactions.<\/p>\n<p>Aave founder Stani Kulechov <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/StaniKulechov\/status\/1967661942627242110\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">criticized<\/a> the plan,<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;This is absurd, and we need to push back against this kind of regulation.
