400;\">Iran\u2019s largest cryptocurrency exchange, Nobitex, has reportedly suffered a massive exploit involving over $81 million across multiple blockchain networks.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2>ZachXBT dives deep into the Nobitex attack<\/h2>\n<p>On-chain analyst ZachXBT was the first to spot unusual activity on the <a href=\"https:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/predictions\/tron-price-prediction\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Tron [TRX]<\/a> network, revealing an initial $48.65 million outflow that later expanded significantly across additional EVM-compatible blockchains.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> According to ZachXBT, the attackers deployed two customized \u201cvanity addresses,\u201d a tactic often used to send a provocative message or signal control during a hack. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">One such address alone was responsible for siphoning off $49 million, raising serious concerns about Nobitex\u2019s platform security and the scale of the incident.\u00a0<\/span>Its name was,<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cTKFuckiRGCTerroristsNoBiTEXy2r7mNX.\u201d<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The second one was named,<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201c0xffFFfFFffFFffFfFffFFfFfFfFFFFfFfFFFFDead.\u201d<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<h2>What did Nobitex do in response?<\/h2>\n<p>Nobitex disclosed that its technical team identified a security breach impacting a segment of its infrastructure, primarily involving hot wallets.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> In response to the breach, the exchange promptly suspended the compromised wallets to prevent further asset movement. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">While the full extent of the breach is still under investigation,\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Nobitex <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/nobitexmarket\/status\/1935222149989519671\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">said<\/a>,\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cUsers\u2019 assets are completely secure according to cold storage standards, and the above incident only affected a portion of the assets in hot wallets.\u201d<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">They further added,\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8220;All damages will be compensated through the insurance fund and Nobitex resources.\u201d<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Following the security breach, Nobitex publicly accepted full responsibility and assured users that all losses would be compensated through its insurance coverage and internal reserves. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In fact, the platform has temporarily taken its website and application offline to conduct a comprehensive investigation into the incident.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2>Community rattled<\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> However, despite these reassurances, Iran&#8217;s crypto community has been <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/ASHKAN_NZ\/status\/1935281991059935286\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">critical<\/a>, mocking the exchange for its apparent lack of caution and suggesting that the exploit could have been prevented with stronger security protocols in place.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>X (formerly Twitter) user <a
