July.<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>ADA and AVAX&#8217;s prices rise despite regulatory uncertainty and postponed ETF approvals.<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Since Paul Atkins took over as SEC Chair, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has adopted a noticeably more open stance toward the cryptocurrency sector.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This marked a departure from the more stringent approach of former Chair Gary Gensler. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">While this shift has sparked optimism across the digital asset landscape, it hasn\u2019t eliminated all regulatory hurdles.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2>SEC delays Grayscale&#8217;s two ETF proposals<\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The SEC has recently <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sec.gov\/files\/rules\/sro\/nasdaq\/2025\/34-103141.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">postponed<\/a> its ruling on Grayscale\u2019s spot ETF requests for <a href=\"https:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/category\/cardano-news\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Cardano [ADA]<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/predictions\/avalanche-2-price-prediction\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Avalanche [AVAX]<\/a> once more. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Despite the extension, the overall evaluation period remains fixed at 240 days, with a final verdict expected by the 22nd of October 2025.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The SEC noted,\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cThe Commission finds it appropriate to designate a longer period within which to take action on the proposed rule change so that it has sufficient time to consider the proposed rule change and the issues raised therein.\u201d<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<h2>What&#8217;s behind the delay?<\/h2>\n<p>Grayscale filed the proposal to list and trade shares of the Avalanche Trust on the 27th of March, and the public could provide input starting 16th February.<\/p>\n<p>The SEC initially planned to decide by the 31st of May, ending the 45-day review period.<\/p>\n<p>However, to conduct a more thorough analysis and carefully consider public comments, the Commission extended the deadline to the 15th of July.<\/p>\n<p>This extra time allows regulators to evaluate all aspects of the application, including potential risks, before deciding whether to approve, reject, or initiate further proceedings.<\/p>\n<h2>Market sentiment stays strong<\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">However, despite the regulatory delays, market sentiment around Cardano and Avalanche remains resilient.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> At the time of writing, ADA was <a href=\"https:\/\/coinmarketcap.com\/currencies\/cardano\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">trading<\/a> at $0.7524, reflecting a modest 0.60% gain over the past 24 hours, while AVAX has <a href=\"https:\/\/coinmarketcap.com\/currencies\/avalanche\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">climbed<\/a> by 2.41% to reach $23.77.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Meanwhile, on <a href=\"https:\/\/polymarket.com\/event\/cardano-etf-in-2025\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Polymarket<\/a>, the likelihood of Cardano\u2019s spot ETF approval is estimated at 67%, though no similar prediction data is currently available for Avalanche. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This development comes shortly after the SEC also postponed its decision on Grayscale\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/xrp-and-dogecoin-etf-rulings-delayed-sec-sets-june-17-deadline\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">proposed<\/a> XRP and DOGE spot ETFs on the 20th of May, highlighting a broader trend of cautious scrutiny by the Commission across multiple crypto-based investment products.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Even
