Others, like <a href=\"https:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/predictions\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\">Official Melania Meme [MELANIA]<\/a>, have followed a similar trajectory.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">That said, the memecoin sector still holds a market cap of $53.04 billion\u2014up 2.19% over the past 30 days.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">However, platforms like Pump.fun, which previously enabled the rapid deployment of memecoins, have seen a significant decline in activity, contributing to the weak performance of the memecoin sector.<\/span><\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_485587\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-485587\" style=\"width: 718px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/6A443897-9769-4FDB-974A-C7B729957F55.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-485587 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/6A443897-9769-4FDB-974A-C7B729957F55.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"718\" height=\"518\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/6A443897-9769-4FDB-974A-C7B729957F55.png 718w, https:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/6A443897-9769-4FDB-974A-C7B729957F55-300x216.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 718px) 100vw, 718px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-485587\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Source: CoinGecko<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">At the time of writing, daily token deployments on Pump.fun dropped by 56.3%, from 72,000 to 31,000.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">Graduated tokens\u2014those that make it to broader markets based on factors like liquidity\u2014fell from 1.4% to 0.7% over the past month, confirming that investors aren\u2019t backing these tokens. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">In a twist, the decline in both token deployment and graduation on Pump.fun escalated following the <a href=\"https:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/libra-memecoin-4b-wiped-out-as-argentinas-president-denies-promoting-scam\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">launch of LIBRA<\/a>, promoted by the Argentine president, Javier Milei.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Within hours of its launch, its market capitalization fell from $4.6 billion to $220 million, in what is known as a rug pull.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">AMBCrypto found that investor focus has shifted toward Bitcoin as the broader market struggles and the memecoin sector attracts less liquidity.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2 class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s3\">Bitcoin attracts market liquidity, even from memes<\/span><\/h2>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">In fact, Bitcoin has become the primary magnet for liquidity as the broader market weakens. <\/span><span class=\"s2\">This is evident in its growing dominance within the crypto market.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">At press time, Bitcoin\u2019s market dominance stood at 59.1%\u2014a 4.6% climb since the start of the year.
