The <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.forbes.com\/sites\/jonegilsson\/2025\/03\/27\/trumps-stablecoin-strategy-to-reinforce-us-dollar-dominance\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">report<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> cited comments from top cabinet officials and the Federal Reserve governor.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In early March, during the White House crypto summit, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/live\/ctc7ApN1P3Q?si=9PyPZTVxFt1lGo3q&amp;t=1114\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">stated<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">,\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cWe\u2019re going to put a lot of thought into the stablecoin regime. USDT is the world\u2019s largest stablecoin <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/tether.to\/en\/transparency\/?tab=reports\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">backed<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> by U.S. T-bills, cash, and other cash equivalents. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Circle\u2019s USDC, the second-largest stablecoin, also has U.S. T-bills as part of its reserve to ensure a 1:1 peg to the dollar.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Overall, over 99% of the current $234 billion stablecoin market size was dollar-peg versions, further giving the U.S. a vantage point.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Besides, it is now one of the hottest segments in crypto, attracting interest from large and small players, including governments.
