Buying activity from Korean and U.S. investors, alongside a surge in trading volume in the derivatives market, could help ETH regain strength and rally into the week.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2 class=\"p4\"><span class=\"s4\">Institutional investors taking profits<\/span><\/h2>\n<p class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s2\">Market sentiment has gradually shifted among traditional institutional investors holding ETH, according to recent insights from Glassnode.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s2\">From the 10th to the 15th of February, the Ethereum spot ETF turned negative, with approximately 14,000 ETH\u2014worth about $37.7 million at the press-time price of $2,695\u2014being sold.<\/span><\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_467769\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-467769\" style=\"width: 900px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/C3E62B54-5FA8-4963-A2C9-914C8F69018A.jpeg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-467769\" src=\"https:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/C3E62B54-5FA8-4963-A2C9-914C8F69018A.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"900\" height=\"507\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/C3E62B54-5FA8-4963-A2C9-914C8F69018A.jpeg 900w, https:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/C3E62B54-5FA8-4963-A2C9-914C8F69018A-300x169.jpeg 300w, https:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/C3E62B54-5FA8-4963-A2C9-914C8F69018A-768x433.jpeg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 900px) 100vw, 900px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-467769\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Source: Glassnode<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s2\">Overall selling activity could be linked to profit-taking by institutional investors. This follows a predominantly bullish trading week before the 5th of February, a level last seen in December.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s2\">If this trend persists, ETH buying activity among traditional investors could resume with the new weekly open.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2 class=\"p4\"><span class=\"s4\">Korean and U.S. retail investors chime in<\/span><\/h2>\n<p class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s2\">While traditional investors sold ETH last week, retail investors in Korea and the U.S. continued buying, as indicated by their respective indexes.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s2\">Korean retail investors remain the most bullish on ETH, with the Korea Premium Index staying above zero since the 14th of December. It read 4.7 at press time, a significantly high figure.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s2\">The Korea Premium Index measures buying and selling activity on Korean exchanges compared to other exchanges. This was reflected in the Coinbase Premium Index, which stood at 0.02 at press time.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s2\">If buying activity among both investor groups persists, it could further contribute to ETH\u2019s bullish sentiment, pushing prices higher.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2 class=\"p4\"><span class=\"s4\">Derivatives traders are buying<\/span><\/h2>\n<p class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s2\">There has been notable buying activity among derivatives traders.
