{"id":466579,"date":"2025-02-12T22:30:02","date_gmt":"2025-02-12T17:00:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/?p=466579"},"modified":"2025-02-12T14:46:32","modified_gmt":"2025-02-12T09:16:32","slug":"how-bitcoins-short-term-holders-can-push-btc-past-100000","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/how-bitcoins-short-term-holders-can-push-btc-past-100000\/","title":{"rendered":"How Bitcoin&#8217;s short-term holders can push BTC past $100,000"},"content":{"rendered":"<ul class=\"ul1\">\n<li class=\"li3\"><em><span class=\"s2\">Declining short-term holder (STH) profits could have a positive impact on BTC\u2019s price.<\/span><\/em><\/li>\n<li class=\"li3\"><em><span class=\"s2\">Lower selling incentives and increasing stablecoin inflows into the crypto market could contribute to BTC\u2019s rally.<\/span><\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s2\">After briefly reaching the $100,000 region on the 7th of February, <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/category\/bitcoin-news\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Bitcoin [BTC]<\/a><\/span> has struggled to sustain that level, currently trading at $95,811.80, down 2.65% in the past 24 hours.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s2\">However, as profit margins remain low for short-term holders, they have fewer reasons to sell, which could exert upward pressure on BTC\u2019s price.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2 class=\"p4\"><strong><span class=\"s4\">Market reset signals potential upside<\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">According to Glassnode\u2019s Bitcoin Short-Term Holders Profit\/Loss Ratio, the market appears to have reset, with the ratio currently at 1.08.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Short-term holders are addresses that held BTC for less than 155 days before selling. This shift in behavior is linked to the decreasing profitability of selling. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As fewer short-term holders realize profits, the circulating BTC supply contracts, which could drive prices higher due to reduced selling pressure. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">AMBCrypto also identified other market factors supporting a potential rally.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2 class=\"p4\"><strong><span class=\"s4\">Stablecoin inflows point to increased buying power<\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Stablecoin supply has surged significantly, indicating growing capital inflows into the crypto market.
