While there were several factors that allowed this achievement, much can be attributed to recent developments that happened in Aptos\u2019 ecosystem.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h2>Aptos\u2019 DeFi space is booming<\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Aptos recently shared a <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/Aptos\/status\/1865169351449677902?t=VNO4pv_uK1RgoASeUTkYaA&amp;s=19\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">tweet<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> revealing quite a few intriguing developments that happened in the blockchain\u2019s ecosystem. First of all, the tweet mentioned a massive hike in Aptos\u2019 TVL. In fact, over the last 2 months alone, the protocol&#8217;s TVL has doubled to $1.2B &#8211; Up \u200b\u200b19x year-over-year. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This recent push has allowed APT\u2019s TVL to hit an all-time high. And, its momentum might not exhaust itself anytime soon. For instance, AGDEX, a decentralized perpetual exchange, recently launched on Aptos. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The tweet also highlighted its top performing dApps of the past week in terms of unique active wallets. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">According to the same, Kana Labs topped the list with 923k UAW, followed by Chingari and KGeN, which had 921k and 886k UAW, respectively. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">However, Santiment\u2019s data revealed that despite the growth in Aptos\u2019 DeFi sector, the blockchain\u2019s development activity declined. This meant that fewer efforts were made by developers in improving the blockchain last week. Last week, the blockchain registered 4.1 million active users. Thanks to the same, Aptos\u2019 all-time transactions hit 2 billion. Its DEX volume followed a similarly increasing trend as it hit $21.5 million\u2014 28x in the past year. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">However, upon closer inspection, AMBCrypto found that the blockchain\u2019s network activity dropped in December. After a sharp hike, APT\u2019s daily active addresses started to decline, as did its daily transactions. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In terms of captured value too, it didn\u2019t look too well.
