{"id":434258,"date":"2024-10-18T18:00:17","date_gmt":"2024-10-18T12:30:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/?p=434258"},"modified":"2024-10-18T16:20:37","modified_gmt":"2024-10-18T10:50:37","slug":"spot-bitcoin-etfs-break-20-billion-in-inflows-as-btc-aims-ath","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/spot-bitcoin-etfs-break-20-billion-in-inflows-as-btc-aims-ath\/","title":{"rendered":"Spot Bitcoin ETFs break $20 billion in inflows as BTC aims ATH"},"content":{"rendered":"<ul>\n<li><em>Spot Bitcoin ETFs reached historic figures in terms of net inflows.<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>BTC stood just $6,000 away from ATH.<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Spot <a href=\"https:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/category\/bitcoin-news\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Bitcoin [BTC]<\/a> exchange-traded funds (ETFs) continued to shatter records and defy expectations. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0In a remarkable development, cumulative total net inflows into Spot <a href=\"https:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/will-donald-trump-winning-again-be-bullish-for-bitcoin-etf-inflows\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Bitcoin ETFs<\/a> have exceeded the $20 billion mark for the first time since its launch in January.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This record level was achieved following a massive influx of $1.5 billion in just four days. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Eric Balchunas, Senior ETF analyst at Bloomberg, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/EricBalchunas\/status\/1846885254356770924\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">highlighted<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> the significance of this milestone on X (formerly Twitter). He stated,<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8220;T<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">he most imp number, most difficult metric to grow in ETF world.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8221;\u00a0<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">He further compared it to gold ETFs, noting that:<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0&#8220;I<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">t<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> took gold ETFs about 5yrs to reach same number<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.&#8221;<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<h2><strong>BlackRock records highest inflows<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is worth noting that <a href=\"https:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/as-blackrocks-bitcoin-etf-grows-larry-fink-compares-btc-to\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">BlackRock\u2019s<\/a> iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) has been a major contributor to these inflows. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Data <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/sosovalue.com\/assets\/etf\/us-btc-spot\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">reported<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> by SoSo Value revealed that on the 17th of October, BTC Spot ETFs saw a total net inflow of $470 million.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Out of which, IBIT led the way with an impressive $309 million. The product accounted for 1.95% of the entire Bitcoin market share of $1.3 trillion.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><strong>Is a new ATH near for BTC?<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The surge in spot Bitcoin ETFs wasn\u2019t the only bright spot this week. The cryptocurrency market has brought the long-awaited \u2018Uptober\u2019 rally to life. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">After briefly dipping to around $58,000 on the 10th of October, BTC skyrocketed to a high of over $68,000 in just six days.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Over the past week, it rallied by double digits, gaining approximately 12%. At the time of writing, Bitcoin was trading at $67,786, just 8% shy of its all-time high (ATH) of over $73,000.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Consequently, optimism has been growing among traders, with many speculating that this bull cycle could propel Bitcoin to <a href=\"https:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/bitcoin-to-the-moon-whats-behind-michael-saylors-prediction\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">new highs<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The combination of bullish sentiment and a potential supply shock has sparked renewed enthusiasm and interest in the asset, suggesting the rally may be far from over.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Bitcoin: 10th most valuable asset in the world<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">While the king coin remains the largest cryptocurrency by market value, it has also managed to secure its spot among the top monetary assets.
