{"id":433733,"date":"2024-10-17T06:30:27","date_gmt":"2024-10-17T01:00:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/?p=433733"},"modified":"2024-10-16T19:33:41","modified_gmt":"2024-10-16T14:03:41","slug":"will-donald-trump-winning-again-be-bullish-for-bitcoin-etf-inflows","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/will-donald-trump-winning-again-be-bullish-for-bitcoin-etf-inflows\/","title":{"rendered":"Will Donald Trump winning again be bullish for Bitcoin ETF inflows?"},"content":{"rendered":"<ul>\n<li><em>Bitcoin ETFs saw record inflows amid the broader market&#8217;s recovery, signaling investor optimism<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Political shifts are driving digital asset inflows, with Republicans seen as being pro-crypto<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Amid a broader market recovery, <a href=\"https:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/category\/bitcoin-news\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Bitcoin [BTC]<\/a> ETFs have been gaining traction lately with significant inflows &#8211; A sign of a positive market trend.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2>Bitcoin ETF update<\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">According to <a href=\"https:\/\/farside.co.uk\/btc\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Farside Investors<\/a>, Bitcoin ETFs recorded collective inflows of $371 million on 15 October.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Leading the pack was BlackRock\u2019s IBIT with $288.8 million, followed by Fidelity\u2019s FBTC at $35 million. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Additionally, Ark 21Shares\u2019 ARK ETF reported figures of $14.7 million while finally, Grayscale\u2019s GBTC saw inflows of $13.4 million. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">While some ETFs saw no inflows, none reported outflows. This can be interpreted as reinforcing the growing interest in Bitcoin-based investment vehicles.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In fact, just a day ago, Bitcoin ETFs recorded their <a href=\"https:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/bitcoin-etf-inflows-cross-500-mln-but-this-still-worries-investors\/#:~:text=Since%20their%20debut%20in%20January,4%25%20of%20Bitcoin\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">highest single-day net inflows<\/a> since June &#8211; A combined value of $555.9 million. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Leading this momentum was FBTC which reported $239.3 million inflows &#8211; Its largest since 4 June. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Additionally, GBTC also saw renewed interest with figures of $37.8 million &#8211; Its highest since May and marking its first positive inflows in October. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This coincided with <a href=\"https:\/\/coinmarketcap.com\/currencies\/bitcoin\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Bitcoin trading<\/a> at $67,823.08 on the charts, following a 3.56% hike in 24 hours and gains of 9.44% over seven days. As expected, this has fueled speculation that the crypto may be gearing up for another all-time high.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2>CoinShares links this to election &#8211; But why?<\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Interestingly, CoinShares\u2019 latest <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.coinshares.com\/volume-204-digital-asset-fund-flows-weekly-report-b41f0790a1f3\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">report<\/a> also highlighted a notable uptick in digital asset inflows, totaling $407 million\u2014A shift attributed to growing investor interest tied to a potential Republican win. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This recent wave of capital is a sign of heightened interest in crypto, one driven by expectations that a GOP-led administration could bring favorable regulatory shifts to the industry.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The report noted,\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cDigital asset investment products saw inflows of US$407m, as investor decisions have likely been more influenced by the upcoming US elections than by monetary policy outlooks.\u201d<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The firm supported its analysis by pointing out that recent inflows align closely with political developments, rather than economic indicators. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Notably, stronger-than-anticipated economic data had minimal effect on halting prior outflows. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In fact, according to CoinShares, this uptick in inflows was followed by the recent U.S. Vice Presidential debate. Following the same, polling momentum shifted toward Republicans, seen as being more supportive of digital asset initiatives. <\/span><\/p>\n<h2>Execs weigh in&#8230;<\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">ETF Store President Nate Geraci supported this perspective, highlighting that the results of the U.S. elections could have a major impact on the digital assets industry\u2019s future.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">He said,\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201c46% agree that crypto &amp; blockchain are future of finance. 34% said they were considering candidates\u2019 crypto positions before voting.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<figure id=\"attachment_433738\"
