{"id":418262,"date":"2024-08-28T03:30:09","date_gmt":"2024-08-27T22:00:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/?p=418262"},"modified":"2024-08-27T15:33:43","modified_gmt":"2024-08-27T10:03:43","slug":"helium-breaks-7-as-open-interest-rises-by-2m-new-ath-for-hnt","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/helium-breaks-7-as-open-interest-rises-by-2m-new-ath-for-hnt\/","title":{"rendered":"Helium breaks $7 as THIS rises by $2M &#8211; New ATH for HNT?"},"content":{"rendered":"<ul>\n<li><em><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">HNT has gained by over 12% on growing buyer interest.\u00a0<\/span><\/em><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><em><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Helium\u2019s Open Interest has surged by over $50% to above $6 million.\u00a0<\/span><\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The cryptocurrency market has retraced after the weekend rebound, with <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/bitcoin-sees-rebound-but-are-bulls-ready-to-push-btc-past-70k\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Bitcoin [BTC]<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> sliding below $63,000. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">But despite most altcoins trading in the red, <a href=\"https:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/predictions\/helium-price-prediction\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Helium [HNT]<\/a> has defied the odds to gain by over 12% in the last 24 hours.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">HNT was trading at $7.09 at the time of writing, with trading volumes having surged by 161%, according to <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/coinmarketcap.com\/currencies\/helium\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">CoinMarketCap<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><strong>What\u2019s behind HNT&#8217;s gains?\u00a0<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Buyers are most likely driving the trading volumes as they chase the rally, aiming to profit from HNT as the rest of the market tanks.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Relative Strength Index has increased from the near oversold region of 30 on the 26th of August to the press time level of 61. This indicated an influx of buyers. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The bullish momentum is further seen in the RSI line, which has tipped north.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The green Awesome Oscillator (AO) histogram bars also showed a bullish momentum. At press time, HNT\u2019s OI stood at $6.84M, a significant jump from the previous day\u2019s $4.2M.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The other key factor driving HNT gains is the boom of Decentralized Physical Infrastructure Networks (DePIN). Helium is making strides in this industry through its decentralized wireless networks.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Recently, Helius Labs\u2019 CEO, Mert Mumtaz, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/0xMert_\/status\/1827928978637701482\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">tweeted <\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">that DePIN, stablecoins, and the tokenization of Real-World Assets (RWAs) would change how people interacted with crypto.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><strong>Key levels to watch\u00a0<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">HNT remained above the 150-day Simple Moving Average (SMA) at press time, showing that it was still in a long-term uptrend.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">However, traders should watch out for a potential bearish crossover of the 50-day SMA below the 100-day SMA.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The 50-day SMA has converged with the 100-day SMA. Failing to hold this support will increase the downside risk.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A look at the HNT long\/short ratio at 0.84 showed an influx in short positions while long positions have dropped.
