It is designed to enhance the security of Proof-of-Stake (PoS) networks. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The initial phase of this launch capped the staking supply at 1,000 Bitcoins. It is supported by over 200 finality providers, similar to PoS validators.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Now that the staking limit has been reached, Bitcoin transaction costs have returned to their normal trend.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>Winner of the Babylon staking spike<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Analysis of <a href=\"https:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/bitcoin-struggles-to-hold-60k-but-these-factors-could-help\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Bitcoin&#8217;s<\/a> fee trend revealed a significant spike on the 22nd of August, coinciding with the launch of the Babylon staking service. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Data from <a href=\"https:\/\/cryptoquant.com\/asset\/btc\/chart\/fees-and-revenue\/fees-total?window=DAY&amp;sma=0&amp;ema=0&amp;priceScale=log&amp;metricScale=linear&amp;chartStyle=line\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CryptoQuant<\/a> showed that transaction fees surged to over 100 BTC, equivalent to more than $6 million. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This is a substantial increase compared to the daily fees earlier in the month, which typically hovered around eight BTC, with the previous high being 10 BTC.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Further analysis of miner fees indicated a similar spike.
