{"id":417129,"date":"2024-08-23T16:30:28","date_gmt":"2024-08-23T11:00:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/?p=417129"},"modified":"2024-08-23T12:53:59","modified_gmt":"2024-08-23T07:23:59","slug":"fantom-ftm-reclaims-0-45-will-this-drive-prices-to-1","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/fantom-ftm-reclaims-0-45-will-this-drive-prices-to-1\/","title":{"rendered":"Fantom [FTM] reclaims $0.45: Will THIS drive prices to $1?"},"content":{"rendered":"<ul>\n<li><em>Fantom Foundation rebranded to Sonic Labs in May as part of an overhaul aimed at addressing network issues and improving user experience<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>The hype around Fantom is centered on the upcoming launch of its upgraded layer-1 chain, Sonic.<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The majority of cryptocurrencies were trading in the green on the 22nd of August, notwithstanding a slight retreat from late Wednesday&#8217;s prices.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/predictions\/fantom-price-prediction\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Fantom [FTM]<\/a> has stood out among top gainers alongside <a href=\"https:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/predictions\/matic-network-price-prediction\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Polygon [MATIC]<\/a>, both registering decent gains.<\/p>\n<p>Per AMBCrypto&#8217;s look at TradingView, FTM printed a 15.64% daily green candle on the 21st of August and was on course to complete a minor green candle.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_417130\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-417130\" style=\"width: 1811px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/FTMUSDT-candle.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-417130\" src=\"https:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/FTMUSDT-candle.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"1811\" height=\"798\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/FTMUSDT-candle.png 1811w, https:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/FTMUSDT-candle-300x132.png 300w, https:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/FTMUSDT-candle-1024x451.png 1024w, https:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/FTMUSDT-candle-768x338.png 768w, https:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/FTMUSDT-candle-1536x677.png 1536w, https:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/FTMUSDT-candle-1200x529.png 1200w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1811px) 100vw, 1811px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-417130\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Source: TradingView<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Outside the market, Fantom has seen growing interest and user engagement owing to the ongoing rebranding that will eventually culminate in the network transitioning to a new identity.<\/p>\n<p>In May, the Fantom Foundation introduced the Sonic Foundation and Sonic Labs as the new entities associated with a new high-throughput chain, Sonic Network.<\/p>\n<h2>Sonic network narrative<\/h2>\n<p>Sonic Network will operate as a high-speed layer-1 chain with a native layer-2 bridge connected to <a href=\"https:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/predictions\/ethereum-price-prediction\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ethereum [ETH]<\/a>, thus unlocking more liquidity.<\/p>\n<p>The launch of Sonic is expected to deliver a new phase of growth for the ecosystem, thanks to the network&#8217;s greater scalability and faster transaction speeds.<\/p>\n<p>Sonic Labs claims the new chain can process over 10,000 transactions per second (TPS), a notable improvement from Opera network&#8217;s 2000 TPS.<\/p>\n<h2>Looking into the network&#8217;s milestones<\/h2>\n<p>This week, Sonic Labs <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.soniclabs.com\/sonic-gems-and-sonic-boom-bounty-program\/\">launched<\/a> the Sonic Boom bounty program on the 20th of August to incentivize developer activity.<\/p>\n<p>The program, which represents the first major initiative of Sonic&#8217;s airdrop, runs until the 4th of November and will reward developers building on the chain with Sonic Gems.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier this month, Sonic Labs <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.soniclabs.com\/andre-cronje-chief-technology-officer-of-sonic-labs\/\">announced<\/a> that DeFi veteran Andre Cronje had taken up the Chief Technology Officer role.<\/p>\n<p>Cronje will steer the development of Sonic, specifically the native bridging technology, Sonic Gateway.<\/p>\n<p>The bridge aims to enhance interoperability across blockchain ecosystems and features a failsafe, enabling users to recover their funds on the chain.<\/p>\n<p>Last month, Sonic Labs introduced a gas-free trading program in partnership with Rabby, a wallet for Ethereum and all EVM chains.<\/p>\n<p>The program commenced on the 22nd of July and will continue until the 20th of October or if allocated funds are exhausted.<\/p>\n<h2>Fantom [FTM]: Technical analysis<\/h2>\n<p>FTM has charted nearly 25% gains in the last seven days. At press time, FTM was trading between the 50- and 100-day simple moving averages (SMA).<\/p>\n<p>The $0.54 mark, which coincides with the 200-day exponential moving average (EMA), poses as the next price target for bulls.
