Chrome extension targets SOL tokens"},"content":{"rendered":"<ul>\n<li><em>The Bull Checker Chrome extension has reportedly stolen from DeFi users.<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>The extension would transfer tokens to another wallets without the owner&#8217;s consent.\u00a0<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Exchange aggregator <a href=\"https:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/predictions\/jupiter-exchange-solana-price-prediction\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Jupiter [JUP]<\/a> has left the crypto community on edge after revealing the presence of a malicious browser extension that was targeting <a href=\"https:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/predictions\/solana-price-prediction\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Solana&#8217;s [SOL]<\/a> DeFi users.<\/p>\n<p>According to the report, which came out on <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/JupiterExchange\/status\/1825600323320434830?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1825600323320434830%7Ctwgr%5E6c2b9aa6712e4cc82e293bb6b4c5c3f2f0634f34%7Ctwcon%5Es1_&amp;ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fcoingape.com%2Fchrome-extension-bull-checker-steals-tokens-from-solana-defi-users%2F\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">X (formerly Twitter)<\/a>, the Bull Checker Chrome extension has targeted various users from Solana DeFi-related subreddits.<\/p>\n<p>The extension enabled user access to dApps. However, after the user completed the transaction, it would transfer tokens to another wallet without the user&#8217;s knowledge.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/JupiterExchange\/status\/1825600323320434830?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1825600323320434830%7Ctwgr%5E6c2b9aa6712e4cc82e293bb6b4c5c3f2f0634f34%7Ctwcon%5Es1_&amp;ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fcoingape.com%2Fchrome-extension-bull-checker-steals-tokens-from-solana-defi-users%2F\">Jupiter<\/a> revealed,<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;Users with this extension would interact with the dApps as per normal, have the simulation show up as normal, but have the possibility\u00a0 of their tokens being maliciously transferred to another wallet upon\u00a0 transaction completion.&#8221;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<h2>Next steps<\/h2>\n<p>After the report, Jupiter warned users not to use these extensions. Allegedly, one Reddit account, Solana_ OG, was behind the extension, as they convinced users to download the Bull Checker extension.<\/p>\n<p>Bull Checker added harmful instructions to legitimize Jupiter and Raydium instructions, thus authorizing these transactions to be made to another wallet.<\/p>\n<p>Therefore, users should remove all other extensions with extensive untrusted permissions for safety.<\/p>\n<h2>Impact on SOL?<\/h2>\n<p>The scandal arises amidst increased outflows within the Solana network.
